It's called an asset bubble or asset mania. Tulips, Crypto, real estate, and stocks are all forms of assets.

A better analogy is that younger Crypto investors have not gone through a dot com type crash like older investors did. Lots of parallels between Cryptos and dot coms of the late 90s and early 2000s. I imagine there will be a crash at some point similar to the dot com crash in the Crypto space...

Maybe. But Madoff investors are likely very different than cryptocult investors. If you suddenly realize your religion is fake, it can have much more serious ramifications.

As was done for awhile in the late 1800s, some Republican states are currently implementing voter suppression laws in order to prevent Democrats from winning in those states. The role of the federal government should be to prevent such unconstitutional laws from going into effect.
