    NFLX, attention dip buyers

i bought this whore last night at 46.50 on the bullish earnings (chased a little, but it was all i could get). it plunged to unchange at 45.00. i was pissed, because i had been down 3600, and i made it all back, and was actually up 2200 at then end of the day, only to lose most of it in 2...

Kobe Bryant should become a Trader

evidently she had sex a couple days before, so this girl wears the same underwear for three days. whoa.

creating a system for a particualr stock?

i don't have any systems for stocks, although i have an idea for one that i'd like to create. i could see this system not being profitable on all stocks, but it should absolutely be profitable on most stocks. any system that you create should be based on some market principle, so it should be...

    30% payout w/ no comm

not good. i figure i net somewhere around 50-55% of my gross (compared to that 30%), and my deal isn't that great at .8 and 75% payout with theoretically unlimited buying power.

May they rest in peace: dead firms

blackwood trading also fired all of it's traders. they were trying to sell it's technology last i heard. i really don't think the number is very high at all considering the change in the market. most, if not all, of the big ones remain in business, though with less traders of course.

    opening gaps not filled anymore

there was an article in active trader mag regarding fading gaps on the open, with plenty of statistics. i've been trying it with mixed results, and lost this morning, but it was my fault because you aren't supposed to do it when there is a 10:00 number... i'd like to get this automated...

    Darvas methods?

interesting. i was going to add you that o'neil's method is based on similar principles and goes into much, much more detail and with many more examples. i'm actually going to reread o'neil when i'm done with darvas. it hasn't been useful in a long long time, but i'd like to get some...

    Darvas methods?

interesting that you wrote about this. i just started reading his book (the first one) last night, and am only half way through, but here are my impressions so far. i don't see anything spectacular in there at all. buy stocks as they are breaking out of consolidations, and use a stop, then a...

    NYSE Rulebook

the link is on the NYSE website, but you really have to hunt for it. i found the rule book useless. for every rule, there are 10 exceptions, all of which are very, very vague and render the "rule" useless.

    advisory services based on sentiment

i used to have a couple subscriptions that gave signals for short term index trading based on sentiment that were quite good (unfortunately i didnt' have access to much capital and wasn't very good). sentiment-advisor.com went out of business, but they were quite good, and tim ord is pretty...

World Poker Tour -- Atlantic City

you should be able to break even at least just by playing good starting hands. i learned how to play 2 days before going to vegas. made $100 in 3/6, then pulled an all nighter and won $350 playing 15/30 (not a lot for that level, but i was happy). there were some pros at one of the of the tables...

World Poker Tour -- Atlantic City

yes...tons. the best ones make over a million a year, and this number will increase. it's absolutely blowing up, due to the first official televised tour (the world series was always televised once a year, but now there are 13 events on the travel channel that make up the World Poker Tour). when...

World Poker Tour -- Atlantic City

personally, i hate limit holdem, and if you have aspirations of playing in any of the WPT events, then you might as well start playing NL right now. the problem with limit is you can't bet big enough to force people out, so you get sucked out on the river by somebody who has no business staying...

World Poker Tour -- Atlantic City

when they say tournament, it's really a series of smaller tournaments, leading up to one, main event. this goes for all of them, including the World Series of Poker, where you see just the main event (10k buy in NL holdem) so, for example. at the foxwoods events, there is a $500 buy in No...

    Abhay's charts

right, could you please tell us what the signal is? i'm not doubting you, but am always interested in seeing how other successful traders make money. would you please share the signal. i'm sure it's nothing earth shattering, but maybe you could PM me if don't wish to share it publicly.

    Poker and the Beginning Trader

the softest games are at partypoker, and it is by far the biggest site. they absolutely blew up by advertising heavily during the World Poker Tour events. a big gamble that has really paid off. the games are soft because most of the players are very new to the game. i play there and at the...
