Not sure I buy that -- IB's "margin IRA" allows you to use unsettled funds for trading, I'd say that's closer to a loan than trading a futures contract. And why are options allowed -- they have leverage similar (though usually not as large) as futures. From another direction -- if I buy one...

If true why the lack of notification and why are they implementing it haphazardly (some IRAs currently have the restriction, and some don't). This whole thing is very strange. Say it ain't so IB....why would you push all those accounts to other brokers?

All those are listed on their rate sheet but I haven't tried trading them so I can't be 100% sure. Email them -- they responded to me within a few hours. They really went above and beyond to get the account transfer going. You'd think two brokers both using RJO for backend would be easy, but...

Just transferred my account to Wisdom. Tradestation denied the transfer for a reason they won't give me, then agreed to do it and then "forgot" it was supposed to go through and made them send the transfer paperwork a second time. Unreal -- makes me very glad my money is out of there...

Have a request for prices out to Wisdom Trading, they seem to be an introducing broker for several brokers including RJO. Will post what I find.

I've been using Tradestation's 4.0 platform (whitebranded RJ O'Brien Rjovantage) but they are discontinuing it and replacing it with something covering half the currently available futures. Can anyone recommend a retail broker (sadly I don't qualify for Newedge) that supports trading on TOCOM...

Stan, Regarding large numbers of positions -- I nearly got scared off by that text from even considering Multicharts with TWS. I don't think I've ever had 500 positions open so it would have scared me off for no reason. You might consider seeing if IB would give those specific numbers in...
