    Help! one monitor is malfunctioning

I have just been hit by a power surge. My PC is protected but not the monitors and in addition the surge blew out one of the distribution boards. I am back up again but one monitor has a deep blue background color, the other monitor is OK. Everything else appears OK. Any ideas as to how...

I am trading and posting at the same time. A sure fire recipe to fu both. MF I do use a crude version I suppose in that if "n" amount of delta cannot push the price, then it will probably turn. You can apply this over 1 & 2 bars. My levels are intuitive but you could try using 2SD of av...

Gracias B, I will read it latter today. On your MF comments, I have fiddled around with the notion and then given it away but that could be because it doesnt fit my methods. I am after the 4/5 pt shifts in the ES morning session and so either the delta builds up to shove the price this far...

Very true, but the purpose in comparing total volume to me is to see whether the day has kicked off with high volume or just so so volume. This tells me whether the day ( make that morning) is likely to punch through the s& r lines or bounce off them, although as you will appreciate it is never...

    reveal your strategy?

As far as I am concerned, I could publish my method in the WSJ. But what is in it for me and please do not tell me that other people could help me improve it.

    U.S. economy...smells like Stagflation..

You are probably correct as it is in no ones best interest to melt the dollar as it is petro backed and does not need to be earned, just simply printed. One day it may be toast, but I suspect in the meantime we are all going to learn to adjust to a slow decline.

"The China Price" - The best business article I have seen in years.

The US should be worried the day it stops innovating and creating new ways to live life. It should be not be worried because jobs are moving overseas to make companies more efficient and profitable. Or because you walk down the street and see some old infrastructure and declare a country is...

Ooopps, I meant, make a stoch using delta, not vol and run it alongside price.

One more thought for all. Vol & price are two different animals. Related and co dependant for sure, but never the less, different. In order to compare them, try applying a stochastic to both in the same window. Same period, you my want to smooth them a little. I think that you will be...

Top of the morning to you Edge. That is exactly what I was driving at in an earlier posting ... well done. Trade Maven Pro offers volume collection on a similar bases to your very clever excel programme. I ran it for a while and it really was the dawning of my understanding of vol /...

Just a thought for all. In order to pull the best from your RT/MD setups, it is vital to understand as much as possible about the relationship between vol / price which auto matically brings the underlying cash into play. Now, subq wrote a very good piece on this some pages ago and Bolter...

Ooppss, this is attached to the above. Must have hit the wrong button out of sheer excitment. At the risk of another flogging, I have pulled two of your comments from your original post because they relate directly to each other. Now please bear in mind I know only of trading the ES morning...

    "Scaling out" is inferior behavior

Your statement is too broad to be entirely valid. For example the ES under high volume can move 5 -6 points very very quickly and if you take half your position off the table and bring your stop into profit, then you can wait for the second leg of the trade to move or die. And so in effect you...

    "Scaling out" is inferior behavior

This is impressive JJ. Do you trade this way?

    "Scaling out" is inferior behavior

That is a thought romik, but why dont I just jump in for what it is worth. I used to scale out half my position and bring my stop up into profit. It proved to be slightly more profitable, bearing in mind my average trade was 6 points, but the gain ( 1 point or 20%) was not worth the effort...

What an epic struggle this thread has turned out to be. I just dont know whether to scale out of it or just close out. Maybe I will look back in 6 months time.
