I think by "hypen spacer" you mean a no-wick, no-body bar that's just a single tick; these are printed when there is at least one transaction in the time period. From a logical perspective, if I were coding this, I suppose for no transactions I could choose to display a single tick bar that...

Up until now, I thought that with a time-based chart (say, a 1m chart), I would still get a blank space even when no transactions took place (for example I have no one minute bars from yesterday 7/3 during the 18:26-18:31 period, in fact I have no 18:30 5m bar either), However, looking back at...

I glanced at the chart and saw the 15m doji at 11:00 and thought to myself, "a short at .23 might be good for a move down to the day's low" but then thought, "nah volume's too low," and after I got my cereal and came back we had pushed down quite nicely, and as of right now we just made a new...

In that particular configuration, no--the footprint chart is showing buy volume versus sell volume AT PRICE ... on my charts you simply see buy volume versus sell volume PER BAR, whether that bar be time-based or otherwise. You are doing very well ND, please don't let my mostly unnecessary...

Nice channel-based trades. First was short the break of .07 (see 5m for better picture). The premise was that price had only gone 60% of the way up the channel, and a break below this level would likely see a move to formally establish the lower channel line, which it did quite nicely...

Nice 60m channel, I was thinking after it went to .30 that it might as well test the highs again near .70, but the channel sellers held it back I see. I did not have that channel drawn. After the base formed at .48 and the spike up occurred at 1:30, I bought above that high at .70 ... and...

Message Received!! BUT, we settled below 95.00(*), which was all I guaranteed via my crystal ball!! :-) In fact, I think I said, "we may poke above 95.00, but we will close below 95.00" ... I'd call that a winning prediction--hey, I'm so good I should be on CNBC :-D * Note: I have not...

No. A sell stop can only be placed below the current price, because a sell stop at .90 says, "sell when the market reaches .90 or lower" ... if you're currently at .80, then it would trigger immediately and you'd sell at the market. A sell limit is placed above the current price and says...

    CL Redux

A limit order is filled at that price or better. Your sell limit is triggered when another buyer places a market buy, and is matched to your OFFER. You get slipped on a stop order because it is a market order, and says "give me the best price available," not a specific price. Think of it...

un freaking believable ... i longed .75 on the break above the consolidation, stop was .66 -- POORLY placed stop... it went to .65, and got me. My target was 94.24, and it rocks up .. my #1 goal right now is trade management. If I even hint of moving a stop or putting a 9 tick stop on that...

Kid, I thought the same thing and shorted .17, when it faked down around 2:12, and was caught short. As you were not correct this time in your timing but you typically are on the money, what "science" are you basing your analysis on?

If you really want to use delta volume tools, the best choice is investor R/T. Gomi has done a great job with the indicator for NT, but if that would be a main focus, IRT is the way to go. That being said, I do like to have the delta visible but it is really more out of curiosity than helping...

I just looked this up, and it's just an incarnation of market profile with a dumber name (sorry if I sound a bit cynical for calling something very unoriginal, yet meant to sound new and exciting, what it really is). As if market profile needed yet more new adopters who have no idea how to use it.
