I received that email yesterday as well. I have been using the patched version 3.9.8 over the last few months with MB Trading as my data source, and it works like a charm. Is there a more updated version of the patch I should be using? Or is this it? If so, where is the link for the latest...

Update. Looks like they have spun that off as well. APEX is the newly formed company for clearing stocks. Things move fast.

Knight is not my broker. MB Trading is my broker. ES, YM, etc. are traded electronically via CME and CBOT. Knight is picking up the clearing for Futures. Penson will continue to clear for stocks. As of now.

Whomever pays the most money. And whomever pays the biggest kickback.

So a happy ending for futures traders. :p

I don't understand this concept of breaking up the company piecemeal. Perhaps more money and value can be achieved this way.

Received an email from Penson, and they are transferring futures accounts to Knight Capital Thursday night, May 31, effective the next day June 1. Things seem to be moving quite fast.

So, call me stupid, but I would suppose that would include MB Trading, who I use for futures. However MBT would continue to use Penson for stock, FOREX, and options? Does this sound right? Or are we/I getting ahead of ourselves and wait for more info? Stupid minds want to know.

There is a post back about 20 pages ago from the IQ feed rep. Says they will continue to support QT. So if they are willing to tweak it to keep things running, that is great. You will no longer have to rely on TDA for anything. Plus, I would not be surprise if Jerry Medved has something up...

QT is a stand alone program which gets its feed from whatever source you prefer from their list. I have utilized the patch, so my QT program is completely independent from TDA. The "ads" are now gone completely. My data source is my broker which is MB Trading. If your data source no longer...

I'm not 100% stupid. I simply keep the bare minimum I need to trade a couple of contracts. I have spoken with MBT about this as well. I just am not in the mood to change brokers at this time. I may be playing with fire. We shall see.
