One of the available menu options for creating a hot key is "close position".
I assume this hot key determines if I am long or short, and subsequently either
buys or sells a like amount of contracts to
make me have a flat position? Does it execute the trade as a limit order or market...
I have used Qcharts, which refreshes every 15 seconds, and I have used DTNQ which refreshes even faster. Maybe every 5 seconds or so. Is there something even more frequent, such as a streaming feed from some provider?
Tomorrow, Thursday. The 3rd Friday of the month is triple witching. The futures switch over on the Thursday preceding the second Friday of the month. That will be tomorrow.
If I am long one contract, and want to close out that position and go short one contract, can I simply place an order to go short two contracts? Net result is I would be short one contract. Or do I have to sell the long position, and then
sell short one contract, thus using two...
I subscribe to Q-charts, and like to use tick charts as well. However, when setting up your chart option (tick, one minute bar, two minute bar, etc.) the tick chart only allows you to go back 20 minutes. That's it. Don't know why, but no more.
