Somewhat newbie question, I dont trade the usd/cad to often but why doesnt it follow the other dollar based pairs as much, does it have to do with oil?

I have to sit on my hands cause I like to fade moves or atleast I did in the futures but see its not the best strategy here in FX. Seems like when a direction picks up steam it goes!

Took 20,000 units off at .6925 and brought thestop on the rest to b/e. Still not sure if I should be at be/ or be/ plus 10. I do want to give this room to move. so for now I am at b/e with the stop

I bought the wintv at circuit city. I think it was about 100 bucks, it plugs into the usb and you plug ur cable to the other end of the usb cord. Its cool becuae it has tivo also. Plus Its nice to have in on the screen so I dont need to look away from ym screen and I can watch tv and the markets...

Yeah it gets confusing sometimes, I trade alot of forex so I have a bunch of the pairs on the screen to watch as well as the e minis. So far so good, but sometimes my brain hurts

Dont worry about crap like the above poster Greg, you will get that from time to time. Keep going! Keep watching and getting your feet wet, I watch the screens all day every day and trade some setups and just watch alot of pairs how the react and if the diverge from each other or how it reacts...

It seems pretty inversely related to the equities here. I trade the indicies as well and If I see something starting to bulid, lets say a rally. Then I look at the way the E/A is acting and it seems it takes a couple of pops and stays in a range but when teh equities rally picks up steam then...

Thanks for the info on that David , I will watch those times and points carefully to learn from it. Seems as though still connected to the equities markets, when the mkt broke down at around 1 est time today looks like the eur/aud broke up 200 + pips

Increasenow, Yes I have 10 pip spread. But for all intents and purposes when I go into a trade I just always figure 10 bucks per pip as a standard lot. I use a mini account but I scale into a position. So if I did 10 lots, I would be out of the money 100 bucks of the get go. But I do it on...
