    FXCM hmmmmmmm.

There's a huge difference here. A "big marketmaker" may fish for stops on the futures - but that's what he's doing - fishing - if he fishes to far from the interbank market he will get run over. As opposed to the situation where you deal with one market market - who knows in advance where...

    FXCM hmmmmmmm.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. They are traded on Globex - but only outside of regular trading hours. During regular trading hours they are traded open outcry only. (A similar situation to the big S&P contract). We will not offer them until they are electronic during regular...

No we don't. The options on FX futures are not traded on Globex. I believe they are still pit traded.

    B/D Registration: Series 7, 24, 3, 4 & 27

S3 is pretty easy if you know futures. S7 will require study. 8-10 weeks study if you are fresh, otherwise half the time. I believe you know options, so munis will be the key topic you'll need to know. S24 alot of overlap with S7 - may as well do it immediately after S7, will take a few...

    IB IDEAL and Forex

I'm not too sure why its not 24 hours. I'll suggest it, especially as we're about to launch Japanese futures which trade outside US hours and will involve Yen transactions.

    IB IDEAL and Forex

No immediate plans. Our IDEAL is primarily offered to facilitate cross-border trading - thus, clients can avoid the outrageous spreads offered by their local bank on a FX transaction. For clients that wish to trade FX - we offer the FX futures which are a more efficient trading product if...

    FXCM hmmmmmmm.

If you are worried about FX spreads then trade the FX futures - almost always between 1 and 3 pips wide - and you can place orders in between the spread.

The canellation fee appears in the "Cash Transactions" Box - which also shows Securities and Commodities Net cash movements. Under description it says "Order Cancellation Fee". If the order did not get to the exchange then you would not have been charged a fee.

    IB is getting serious...

Just to alleviate some of the fears expressed in this thread. I can assure you all that there was no accounting error in the account in question. As for some of the other comments from persons such as rickty. I assume that you have not been a customer for quite a while. IB has been...

Does IB ever respond to e-mails?

It should never take a few weeks for IB to respond. While more complex issues may take longer to address, we strive to turnaround e-mails as fast as possible. I can see that the current helpdesk inbox only has about 30 pending e-mails - all from this week (most from today). We have recently...

    IB quote speed issues...today especially

Sorry I'm in Hong Kong, so not exactly sure what happened, I only know that there was a tremendous surge in volume/quotes and that this caused a problem with Globex which in turn caused a problem with one of our ticker programs. It was immediately noticed and given urgent attention. Trading...

    IB Conditional Order

You cannot do this on the TWS. The closest way to set this up would be: say if you wanted to sell 2 NQ at 1253. You could make the ES order conditional on NQ Last Price >= 1253.50 ... Probably not what you want. Not sure if Bracket Trader and Ninja Trader can do it.
