    RefcoFX vs. Oanda

Tom, I actually haven't checked, and it wouldn't be that easy to check as I believe the majority of our clients are not using anywhere near full leverage. But then even if I knew the stats I wouldn't be able to disclose the info. Many years ago I worked in the FX market in Asia, and my...

Charts for SGX products are offered by IB. They work exactly the same way as charts on any other product. I just double-checked this, using TWS 852.2 - and tested that all charts work for all timeframes from 1-min to 1-month.

    Newb questions on forex trading

-25k is the minimum trade size, but with $/Euro you need 2% margin, i.e. you only need $500 to trade. -With IB FX product we look at your true net cash position. Thus, you could buy Eur vs Usd, then buy Usd vs Yen, and be left with a Euro vs Yen position. The USD would net out. With many...

    do insured futures broker/FCM's exist?

Exactly. Ellokn sums it up well in the post above. It's a rare occurrence in the futures world as it's pretty well regulated, but it can happen. As for FX, well this is completely unregulated so happens too often. Unfortunately there is no central database that I know of which details...

milstar, You do not seem to understand the way that the FX market works. You cannot compare a certain FX provider's percentage in the same way you look at an ECN's share of a stock (and that 40% figure for Arca looks very suspect to me). The FX market is pure OTC and covers huge interbank...

    IB Forex margin interest
