I've tried many times -- just can't visualize Candlesticks charts the same way I can using bars... I've read all about the benefits of candles but it doesn't seem to be working... is that bad?

all I know about market direction is that I don't know...

I'm afraid to find out what do we "break" when the carnage starts....

I'm starting to use tick and volume charts and was wondering if anyone know what's the equivalent number of ticks for 3/5 and 30 minutes charts... Thanks! :(

Gandolph -- I'm also a beginner but looking at your chart I see the following danger areas: - MACD is going down - Increased volume on the last day = increased selling - ST stoch going down - LT stoch looks like is about to turn down too (below 80) it looks like it "might" consolidate...

I think QuoteTracker is a fantastic tool -- only thing we're missing (mostly if you trade equities) is more than 10 days for historical intraday data...

Doug - interesting chart you have there... I see you have some custom indicators on your chart. Is there anything (even ideas) that you can share around the information/indications on them? I'd understand if you can't. thanks.

TS might be more stable but will likely offer a lot less when comes to innovative features --- being a developer and also a trader, I can understand how QuoteTracker can be a bit buggier than TS... even Microsoft still gets in trouble everytime they try to put something innovative out there...

I agree that the volume is very low compared to its average... I just moved my stop to break even... based on the closing action today and where the QQQQ is positioned we might have a good up day tomorrow... who knows?? we'll take whatever we get I guess... :p
