    Where's Bob Pisani Today?

Funny..this thread can be replicated on any sizable down day in the market. Bob's been on what, 3 times and its 2:23pm right now?

    Where's Bob Pisani Today?

Of course I don't miss it. I just find it as predictable as the sun rising in the morning. He's worthless.

    Where's Bob Pisani Today?

A big down day in the market and Bob Pisani has been on, what, twice? On an up day he's on 4 times before 10:30am. Talk about biased and blatantly ridiculous coverage. He'll talk to the floor "traders" and $2 brokers to get the hot story for why we're up on a given day, but today he was simply...

    Turning CNBC off!

Yeah I heard you can watch it on the website, but do you have spare screens you can dedicate to TV? I really don't unfortunately.

    Turning CNBC off!

I won't go as far as to turn CNBC off, but I can't wait until Verizon TV comes to my area so I can get Bloomberg TV. For the time being, I'll continue with my Bob Pisani induced indigestion and I'll enjoy Becky Quick and the Weather lady.

    abbey joseph cohen is bullish!

She's brutal. I can't believe she didn't disappear with the rest of the overpaid Internet Bubble strictly bullish, always bullish analysts...where's the value added?

Have $25K.......Best way to begin learning to trade it

Trading journal, as suggested by others here...is SO important. I find that it's not fun...it's time consuming, and its work, which means its NECESSARY. You'll find yourself thinking, rationalizing, and deciding against doing certain things as you write down your thoughts and strategies in your...

Rationals behind to support you guys count on trading as career

Right if you are willing to take such risks as "losing all of your capital on one trade" means that you also inherently have the belief that you can "get rich quick on one trade." Then you have to question whether this is really serious or even a career for you, or is it simply a high risk/high...

Rationals behind to support you guys count on trading as career

I think if all you have is a "belief that you can beat the market" then you are in trouble. You have to post results consistently before undertaking it on a fulltime basis, and have a solid operational plan together on all levels, from strategizing, risk control, and money management.

CNBC woes - am I alone in my anger?

Pisani on right now lauding the market and its new highs. Wouldn't he be served better at extreme levels just to simply "report the news" and perhaps even serve up a bit of skepticism or just plain caution? This way if we correct a bit, which seems entirely possible (everyone forget the China...

Superior intellect - is that enough?

"Not meant as bragging, but I'm smarter than 99.9% of you jokers. " The fact that you refer to your peers and/or those who are trading against you as "jokers" says it all. I work with a lot of "genius" types who are always "smarter than the market." They are horrendous traders. Ever hear of...

CNBC woes - am I alone in my anger?

Thank you for posting that You Tube clip...CLASSIC! It's basically what this guy does day in and day out...it's horrendous. We're allowed to have a down day without 47 excuses to tell us why we "really weren't down in fact." I've noticed that recently if it's clear in the premarket that we're...

I don't mind CNBC on the whole..just Bob The Bull.

CNBC woes - am I alone in my anger?

Oh I forgot my disclaimer...I'm long, 100% in stocks. So no, I'm not "bitter because I'm short." I'm bitter because Pisani is brutal.

CNBC woes - am I alone in my anger?

Has anyone listened to how happy Bob Pisani is today since the market is up? Mysteriously, he wasn't even on yesterday as we were down, I'm convinced he calls in sick on those days and throws someone else into the fire. Occasionally he'll get whipsawed and will actually have to report on a "down...

What do you think about the career as a stock brokerage agent?

Anyone can get these jobs, there are no education/background requirement, just salesmanship. If you can sell your clients on load mutual funds, variable annuities, expensive insurance products, and have them trade through you directly as a "broker" rather than trading on their own with E-Trade...

What do you think about the career as a stock brokerage agent?

Right on with the Boiler Room suggestion... If you are an independent thinker, do your own analyses, and like to actively watch your investments on a day to day basis and trade, then this is not a job for you. It's more focused on long term relationships with mostly jaded but wealthy clients...

    Turning CNBC off!

re Tudor: I know, I was playing along. I'm not doubting he's a hedge fund manager either...it's pretty simple to be considered one these days. I do find it funny that he wants to emulate another hedge fund manager so much that he will masquerade as him.

    Turning CNBC off!

Notice how Bob Pisani is mysteriously absent on down days in the market, but will be on 4 times before 10:30 am on an up day where we have bullish news.
