Commercials sitting on largest net long SP500 Future position in years

How long are index arbitrage positions typically left open for? I would have thought only a short period of time in which case they wouldn't be open positions so wouldn't count as open interest. Commercial hedging is another matter.

Commercials sitting on largest net long SP500 Future position in years

Would index arbitrage contribute to open interest? I wouldn't have thought they'd be kept as an open position. Correct me if I'm wrong. You're right about the predictive value of the COT reports though.

Commercials sitting on largest net long SP500 Future position in years

That doesn't mean commercials are net short. Are you saying the same commercials are long futures and short stock? Not sensible from a funding perspective.

Fantastic Quote From Cnbc Just Now

I don't know why people are so confused about the stock market rallying while the economy is bottoming. You need to read up on the relationship between the economic cycle and the stock market cycle. As for buying puts people have been saying that on ET all the way up and where has it got them?

    Trading is a Giant Scam!

Where are his underwear? :D I think the percentage of people who go bust trading is about the same as any start-up business (about 90% supposedly). Winners take money from losers - it's the way of the world.

The 666 pivot holds YM back again

Predictable that the YM rally would be repulsed just short of 13666. It's going to take a lot of consolidation before it builds up the strength to get through it.

    Malta

There are lots of British expats living in Malta. British women are notoriously "friendly" to foreign men when abroad. Apart from that Malta is not some third world country where the women "love you long time". You'll need to have what it takes same as anywhere.

Cramer: One of the greatest bull markets of all time

Cramer was saying back in March that earnings season was bearish for stocks and that the market would go down until it was all over. Now he's saying buy you have to wonder whether it's time to sell.

URGENT, Secure Device Required for TWS

I agree with you there Aaron. As for software firewalls I recommend Kaspersky Internet Security which contains a firewall, antivirus, antispyware and popup blocker. As long as you use them properly (therein lies the problem for many) software firewalls are pretty much 100% effective against...
