I guess margin is nothing to do with PDT. Unless you have $25000 in the account, PDT rule will not allow to daytrade more than 4 roundtrip trades in a day. Not sure which broker you are using. PDT Rule http://www.whitepacific.com/trading/day_trading_faq.php

chicco, are you papertrading because you can not day trade with $13k. I guess it allows only 4 roundtrip trades then flags the account as PDT.

I agree with shagi that it does not matter much the quantity but quality of your trading system that how much percentage are your winners and how consistent it is.

I guess some of them are Chart patterns like H&S , Triangles etc Support/Resistance Type of Candles like Doji, Hammer etc if candlestick charts Volume patterns corresponding to prive movement Trendlines Time&Sales Experts can add more.

If the ask did not move higher , will the market order be executed at the current ask price.

hi, Have a question regarding ES market order. When the bid price is 1320.50 and ask price 1320.75 , If I sent a market order to buy, will it be executed at 1320.75 OR it can be any other price greater than current ask price. Thanks for any reply.

You can also check some of the global futures like Australia SPI, Taiwan STW etc which trade actively during night time.

Does this mean one has to hold/average ETFC, CFC etc from last year and JDSU, SUNW(JAVA), enron, worldcom etc from 2000 ? Dont you think stocks like these will kill the portfolio.
