    Nationalize is also known as bailout. So much capital invested into gas delivery infrastructure and no income, bank or financier will go broke.

    Currencies where its central banks cannot match the Fed rates, smart money will sell their currencies and buy USD. Unlikely the Fed will cut rates as long as the CPI remains high. So, USD will remain strong.

    The last gas pipeline to Europe goes thru Ukraine...

    Russia and Japan; Russia and China and of course fusion is in perpetual 20 years away. Can both China and Japan pickup the slack? Maybe coal and carbon capture is another good enough green alternative for Europe. In any system, there is a path of least resistance.
