If I could give advice to someone in their teens or 20s, I'd suggest they invest $100 (or affordable amount) into every popular IPO & hold for long-term. Some/many will be bust but the few big winners in 30-40 years could be so large the losers won't matter. This would be "take-a-chance" money...

So if I'm reading this correctly, your strategy is good for 1%. The 8-14% is based upon the annual return of the S&P and not from your strategy? So if the S&P is down 8% next year, your return will be -7% ? Am I reading this correctly?

The chart you're looking at is a line chart (1 min.) so the line is showing the "close" price. If you look at a bar or candle chart, you'll see the low on the chart is 51.40 as the low candle was a pinbar. So Yes, a limit order @ 51.50 would have been filled.
