"My wives great in bed and wrote a song for you: it's called: du rouge a lever sur une cochonne." It means "red lipstick on a piglet". "Cochonne" is also a slang term for slut.

    Everybody complaining about "socialism"

Obama actually has a better fiscal plan than McCain. McCain's plan is ~1 Trillion more expensive over a 4 year period than Obama's but doesn't substantially decrease taxes for the majority of American families. In addition to that, McCain's plan doesn't include any substantial spending cuts to...

Had to post this - Student loan fugitives

I agree with this view. Universities have become trade schools. Completing a four year degree has become a necessity to anyone who wants the prospect of a job with a decent salary. As a result education standards have gone down and tuition has gone up. Universities shouldn't function this...

Trading needs the same "revolution" that martial arts went through 15 years ago

Gringinho, life threatening situations can occur irrespective of time or location. I want to increase my chances of survival if - God forbid- I ever find myself entangled in just such a situation. I see it as an insurance policy.

Trading needs the same "revolution" that martial arts went through 15 years ago

I doubt that I will ever have to defend myself against a firearm. I would co-operate in most cases, even if I knew how to defend myself against it. But there are some imaginable situations where the risk of not-acting far outweighs the risk of resisting. Regarding esotericism: you're using...

Trading needs the same "revolution" that martial arts went through 15 years ago

That's right, that's what I want. I'm especially interested in learning defense techniques against knife attacks and firearms. Competition sports teach you a system that's shaped around rules and not necessarily what's most effective. Muay Thai is absolutely useless when confronted with an...

Trading needs the same "revolution" that martial arts went through 15 years ago

What I understood reading about Krav Maga online is that it's not an esoteric martial art at all. It's a combat style that's taught in the IDF and Israeli Intelligence and security agencies. According to the wikipedia article it's also taught in branches of US Law Enforcement.

Trading needs the same "revolution" that martial arts went through 15 years ago

Does anyone have experience with Krav Maga? I have practised Muay Thai but I'm not interested in competing. I have looked into fighting styles that focus on defending against multiple opponents, knife and firearm attacks. There's a school close by that's run by an ex-marine who's studied...

The Atlas Shrugged sequence is actually happening

His epistemology doesn't contain evolution at all. If you want to visualize what he confuses with evolution and calls "transient nature" you should imagine a shifting set of random variables within the confinements of two asymptotes. You'll never get anywhere. The implication of such a...

The Atlas Shrugged sequence is actually happening

I'm willing to accept that systems and conceptions are subject to change. I would like to see you clarify your argument that evolution of social structures in a sustainable, progressional sense can take place. To be specific, I want to see you defend this in the light of Gödel's incompleteness...

The Atlas Shrugged sequence is actually happening

I appreciate the time you took to write down your philosophical understanding in a constructive way. The first problem I see with your philosophical system is the contradiction of your rejection of a universal absolute on the one hand and your embrace of evolution on the other. If you...

The Atlas Shrugged sequence is actually happening

Well damnit, I don't care if you evolve your answer, I want it. Why is my simple tautology, A = A, not absolutely true? It's okay if you don't answer but in that case you'd better adapt your mouth shut.
