5 days before the election- Jobs report

Mav 74 is the voice of reason, as often. The problem is that people with a strong bias, ie being a bear, think that any good news are manipulated. I rarely hear people on the right side of the trade complain about manipulation. Eh I could not careless about the numbers. I am just looking at the...

    Democrat's Don't Believe in God

Quote from version77: Dude, you can only be on one side or the other. There is no middle ground. Are you African-American? What side is Derek Jeter, then ?

    S&P has topped for 2006

Be surprised, then. I am still surprised that a trader can be caught "surprised." Markets have a way to be very surprising, indeed.

Got a feeling, tomorrow 2:30pm crash

Bullish/bearish, with no timeframe reference, hours ?, days ? weeks? is irrelevant.

Swingtraders... Same stocks or different stocks?

I trade patterns here. Any stock meeting my criteria is included. My criteria include a price and volume minimum requirement, though.

    This is HUGE bull market

Although Stock-Trad3r deserves some beating for his unfamous "This is the way it is going to be", I also think that it is a little premature, after 1 or 2 days, to say that he is wrong for his longer term prediction. I guess that, in a remarkably predictable fashion, many traders are going to...

Sorry guys no chance for a down day

Well, this is the market in action...! Two people drawing two different conclusions from the same set of data. I do not make predictions. What I see is that the trend is up, and that, with major indices close to new highs, one would expect a bigger sell-off with bad news. Actually, Nasdaq is...

Sorry guys no chance for a down day

Yes, I can see that. I also can see that most intraday dips are bought very quickly. I have no clue why this market goes up, nor do I care, but it is sure acting more like taking a breather than selling off.

Sorry guys no chance for a down day

hey Mav , it is not a problem of age. A 8 years old child could find out that the trend is up !

Sorry guys no chance for a down day

Yes but the market seems to feed on itself. Today is the end of the month, then tomorrow new money in play, then Thansgiving something, then the Christmas rallye !!!!! interesting. Just glad to enjoy the ride, thus far.

    Weak Oil + Weak Dollar=

Logical answer: the markets expect a slower US economy, resulting in lower demand for oil, and possible decline in US interest rate, thus the decline in US $, less attractive for foreign money. But being logical in the markets is not really a sure thing to be rich !

    Short selling list......

I like these "all thinking it". Means we are probably going higher for a while, with some good old-fashioned short-squeeze.

Sell Dvy - Eric Bolling Play

I do not know the guy, but I doubt that he is always wrong, probably close to 50/50. So I do not believe that there is an edge in following or fading the recommendations of those people. I just ignore them.

Sorry guys no chance for a down day

I agree with the above. However, I think the culprits are not those gurus, but those who believe in them. For me it applies to many aspects in life. People can lie to us, and they try pretty hard, but we do not have to believe them. As an example, I "blame" more the readers of the National...

    Thorn is calling..

maybe but I do not buy it because it is too obvious. My play will be to anticipate a short squeeze for a few days after election day, then re-analyze the market situation.

Sorry guys no chance for a down day

You are welcome. Too many "I know it all" on ET, ready to jump on anybody they do not agree with or think are less experienced than they are. Humility and emotion control are very important in this business.

    Las Vegas Traders Expo

The "free" seminars are pretty much infomercials, with little value, except for the vendors/gurus. As I said earlier, bring your BS detector, and be prepared to hear it a lot !
