Ni kidding? wow. the problem is the moment you collect your div on the stock the stock falls about the amount of the div and all you've done is create a taxable event. You collect the div and pay tax an the stock is now worth the same less the amount of the div, you've not made a dime.

What’s the 70 call going to do for you? Unless you go far far out into the LEAPS those 70 calls are basically worthless options? The stock will fall by the amount of the dividend the moment Xdiv day is over. That’s not an opinion it’s a fact. The 10 cent call won’t do a thing for you...

You wontbe collecting any dividends with covered calls since the div price is priced into the calls. Simply buying a call or a put to leverage you guess on the timing and direction of the market historically is a huge loser. Selling naked puts will probably net you a high % of winners and...

Is there a fixed date in a month when options tend to be cheaper?

Come to think of it after 20 years in the business I have noticed one thing. The time premium falls to nearly zero in the moments leading up to the closing bell on expiration friday. You might want to consider buying then to limit the net dollar amount of premium.

I sold Deep deep deep in the money puts

The cost to carry both positions is the same and the options pricing model assumes you use the premium you collect and put it in the risk free investment. Again there is no such thing as a free lunch LOL

I sold Deep deep deep in the money puts

The risk profile is the same for the CC (buy stock sell the 40 call) and the cost to carry the position is exactly the same.

I sold Deep deep deep in the money puts

There is no such thing as a free lunch. The margin used to be naked short the deep put would be the same as if you laid out the money to buy the stock and sold the 40 call, there is no free money there. The dividend you’d collect is priced into the put and into the long stock plus short OTM...

    Time premium at expiration

Since he asked about saturday the SPX reference is moot. More than that the SPX is a whole different animal since there is so much volatility in the settlement price.

    Time premium at expiration

In theory Naz is right but in reality time premium is zero at the close friday since you cant trade em. TV of time premium is pretty meaningless on Friday of expiration. I doubt there are any firms left who price to Saturday.
