Currenex Charting Options - What do you use?

For Modulusfe.com, I was just told that we would need to buy their plug-in and integrate it ourselves into our GUI. Sounds a bit like Chinese to me right now. I emailed Modulusfe with a few questions. Let's see what they come back with.

Currenex Charting Options - What do you use?

I know we have had discussions about this in the past, but it seems that many traders that use Currenex don't really graph the data they are trading on. I wanted to start a thread about the different posibilities to chart Currenex data. There's always the option of developing a charting...

Currenex, HotSpotFxi, Lava - Pimps for the Banks? - No Scalpers

Viper, no harm done. Thank you for continuing to provide extremely useful information for all of us. I'm starting a petition to police the banks. Anybody want to sign it?

Ldamiani, the process of getting access to the Currenex Java API was not difficult at all. You can do this with any Currenex broker.

Currenex, HotSpotFxi, Lava - Pimps for the Banks? - No Scalpers

sccz97, our trader is in a rural area of the UK, so I know that it will take close to 100 ms for the order to get to the CX New York server anyway, so 10ms might not be that significant for us to switch things around right away. Going forward, I will definitely look at every way to minimize the...

Currenex, HotSpotFxi, Lava - Pimps for the Banks? - No Scalpers

We are using the CX Java API not their FIX API, but I was told by the programmer and other sources that the speed of execution will be similar. I will know by next week. Long Eagle, I don't know if all banks are on RFQ, but the CX guys told me that sometimes there are "issues" with some...

Currenex, HotSpotFxi, Lava - Pimps for the Banks? - No Scalpers

spieler, "why do I want that kind of stuff?" Because I don't trust any broker or bank 100% and need to be able to have a paper trail just in case things get naughty. You say that when "You clic you are executed no time to see the order if you hit the ask ( for a buy)," but I have been told...

Has anyone requested the detailed trade log from Currenex to verify the validity of a trade? Someone a while back on Currenex told me that upon request, they could provide a trader with this log, which shows the time the trade was received at the CX server and the time it took the counterparty...

whoknows, CX's position is that they are just the technology provider. The broker that uses the technology has the freedom to connect to the general CX network (where client-to-client orders are matched) and to add the banks (liquidity providers) they wish as additional liquidity on their end. I...

risky63, my recommendation is to stay away from fxcmpro. Their dealing desk is behind their prices.

risky63, open an account with a cx white label broker (with $25k to $100k - depending on the broker) or set up a direct prime brokerage relationship if you have mega bucks. See the link below for a list of cx brokers: http://www.currenex.com/about_us_white_label.html

Doesn't sound like it, Nick. I spoke to fxsomebody on the phone and he is a CX rep. fxrelease, sounds like a trader. The way fxrelease describes things leads me to believe that he's not the same guy. That's just a feeling and I'm not a psychic. :)

Currenex, HotSpotFxi, Lava - Pimps for the Banks? - No Scalpers

I agree with you about NY being the best place to trade from, but you are in Nebraska. Your order still has to go from Nebraska to your New York server and from your server to the Currenex New York server. How does this reduce the order transit time? Unfortunately, our traders are in the UK...

Currenex, HotSpotFxi, Lava - Pimps for the Banks? - No Scalpers

fxrelease, the Currenex servers are in New York (as explained to me by Currenex) and all orders must go there. Unless your system is fully automated and the orders come from the remote server in close proximity to Currenex's New York server, how do you save time by operating from a remote server?
