    oanda maximum size trading

Oanda is a dealing desk / market maker model. Why would you want to execute large size through them? It makes no sense.

    I agree. I'm really interested.

any prop forex firms out there ?

Agree; but they do require trading experience. We certainly do, with the rare exception of some systematic traders.

Superb returns from 7 major.../JPY Basket spread

I agree with the fact that he needs to provide more data, but not with the fact that a loss in one of the components in the basket means that it is not a good system. If I was trading a basket, I would like to have the different positions go in different P/L directions for diversification. From...

Superb returns from 7 major.../JPY Basket spread

Frank, notice that he's opening simultaneous positions on different pairs; i.e., using a "basket." You can't just pick the losing pair from the basket and take its loss as the DD. You need to look at the results from the entire basket. I'm definitely interested in this for a project we're...

    the best news system

Do you mean a news feed? Even with a great news feed, news trading is becoming more and more difficult. The auto-click services are usually too slow. We have funded a few news traders and the auto-click guys are just not getting filled much even on Currenex. There is one guy that created his...

Hi scalpmaster, is this backtestable? Are you trading this live or on demo?

What is the good remote prop firm ?

Hombre, I'm sorry. We work with established traders only. I don't know any firms who would train you that I trust. I wouldn't go with any "educational" firms, as you wouldn't know what their true intentions are. Maybe someone else has experience with forex prop shops. I did a search on the...

What is the good remote prop firm ?

It's going to be difficult to get access to capital without real verifiable statements. We require at least 3 to 6 months of statements for active discretionary traders and back tests to the beginning of 2001 for systems traders. I doubt anyone will give you money just starting out - and like...

    Preferred Forex commission structure???

I agree with you cstfx. itrader911, there are a few ECN-type options out there if you want to do higher frequency trading. EFX/MB Trading is one, but their commissions are probably the highest in the industry. You can also go with a Currenex broker, but in my opinion, the Currenex GUI is the...

    Preferred Forex commission structure???

High frequency trading won't work at Oanda. Our high-frequency scalper is written on c++ and runs on a dedicated server which executes on a Currenex hub. It will never work on Oanda. At the end of the day, they are still a market maker, but I agree that they work for lower volume trading.

Best service that will provide EBS or Reuters real-time data (quotes and volume)

EFX does not provide you with EBS or Reuters pricing or volume. The Oanda price feed will be different than the prices you're getting at EFX, so why would you want to use that for charting?

    Preferred Forex commission structure???

It's funny that they gave you that excuse. One of our newly funded traders has been testing a high frequency EURUSD scalper written in C++ on BGC's Currenex hub (I believe they are on eSpeed) for three weeks now. The scalper is super spread sensitive and we run filters to disable it if the...

Best service that will provide EBS or Reuters real-time data (quotes and volume)

I get the feeling this doesn't exist. If you want EBS data, you're going to have to cough up quite a bit of change on a monthly basis.

    Currenex Compatible Platforms?

fxrelease, thank you for taking the time to chat with me on the phone today. I think that your CX front end is great and can help many traders. I will speak to our allocator to possibly provide substantial funds for you to trade.

    Currenex Compatible Platforms?

fxrelease, do you mind discussing this on the phone? It seems we are going in the same path for some things and I'm sure we can both benefit from each other's war stories. Email me with your number and time zone or I'll send you mine. Let me know what you prefer.

    Currenex Compatible Platforms?

Nice job, fxrelease. We had a programmer create a simpler CX front end for us in the past designed to speed up the handling of orders for manual scalping. It also sent limit orders plus or minus an X-pip slippage factor. Ours didn't turn out to be that fast on execution though, but it was...

    Currenex, HotSpotFxi, etc. through Globaledgetrading.com

JayS, in the past we have accessed the FIMAT Currenex feed through PFG and I was not really impressed. With such high account opening requirements, I was shocked at how "average" their posted size and spreads were.

    Currenex, HotSpotFxi, etc. through Globaledgetrading.com

cstfx, one of the fxall guys game me a tour of the ecn product you mentioned last week. The liquidity on that sucks and so do the prices. The spreads are not competitive at all. Maybe with time, it will get better. The other fxall product does require prime brokerage relationships. siki13, I...
