    IB new forex spreads

I absolutely stand behind these statements. No internet connection problems - Multiple dealing platforms, multiple real-time quotes/charts running so I would be able to tell if there was an internet problem All of the orders that I had difficulty with were acknowledged as sent off by the IB...

    IB new forex spreads

I really don't know what the difference to a customer is on whether the trade execution is slow or reported slow. Either way an order is sent and one does not know whether there is an execution or not when there should be. Not knowing your position in the market is a huge risk. Market or...

    IB new forex spreads

Summary of IDEAL Pro FX II - Meant to add the ability to bid or offer anywhere. - Have not tested the robustness of stop orders, but I am skeptical. While no firm guarantees stops, there are brokers out there that de facto do. - I do not understand how having some PDA/mobile telephone...

    IB new forex spreads

Summary of IDEAL Pro FX No Dealing Desk /// - You can call in to close positions only. This is a huge disadvantage. - Requires calling international telephone numbers to Asia or Europe depending on the time of day - Trading desk staff is for all IB securities/markets, not dedicated FX...

Basic Position Management - P&L There is no real-time P&L for spot currency positions in TWS. When is this going to be available? And if I were asking this question 15 years ago I would not believe it...

    Telecom Set Up for Trading

Thanks for the advice ElectricSavant. Also, I am an active trader with a high degree of hesitancy to participate in the market without electronic dealing systems/charts up and running. So if the power did go out I would manage/close out positions versus trying to continue to trade. On an...

    Telecom Set Up for Trading

I am currently 1 deep, mobile only. This has worked quite well, but is vulnerable to a 9/11 type event and potentially to large scale power outages where mobile towers would be knocked out as well. Biggest problems encountered during months where I have to get familiar with half the...

IB - How many liquidity providers do they have now?

The liquidity is excellent. Fathoms deeper than many would require. Just posting follow-up as today yen pair bid/offer size is bigger than several days ago, but not the super size viewed on Friday, june 10th Typically this market will serve more than most could eat.

    LCD vs CRT for trading

I was not really thinking and would concur that it is probably best to see monitors in person before buying. One should be wary in that just like TV some of the display models in a store may have their settings totally out of whack. I have even heard that sometimes with TV's this is done to...

IB - How many liquidity providers do they have now?

I am on IB chat right now inquiring about the fat size, I mean close to a bill bid/offers? That is HUGE. I think the fat bid/offers get no commas because they are so fat. 923,710,016 Euros bid/offer in EURJPY that is approximately $85,000 a pip!

IB - How many liquidity providers do they have now?

Anyone notice a change in liquidity as of 0100 EST on Friday, June 10th? There is either 1. New liquidity provider 2. Currency arb participant on IB 3. System problem Most likely 1. or 2. Interesting - odd lot/not round number sizing may provide some clues... Bids/Offers in...

    LCD vs CRT for trading

"You get what you pay for" Well, this is clearly not always the case, you can overpay for an inferior product/service. Any comments on whether there is that much difference in manufacturer for LCD monitors? I see the same competitiveness in flat screen televisions. My understanding...

    TradeStation - GFT Feed

TradeStation - GFT feed is back up again as of 22:04 EST. These organizations preach technical trading and strategy testing and automated trading and their service is 1 deep. I am only posting this to benefit others who currently trade with them or get data/charts from them. If I traded with...
