    Anyone watch CNBC's Fast Money?

Actually, they did bring up the "short RIMM" call on either Wednesday or Thursday night's episode. I think it was Bolling who said to short RIMM and when called out on it he still stands behind it. Mackie told him he was in denial and to dump it. Dylan Radigan actually called out all four on...

    How Does Excel Help Traders?

Tony, Thanks for that link. So I suppose the answer to my question is..... Excel can help organize and make sense of a huge amount of data related to your stocklist. I wasn't sure if that was it or if it had some sort of formula tool that figured trends or some other data. Thanks again.

    How Does Excel Help Traders?

Wow! Nice rant. Obviously I was misunderstood. I didn't demand anything, nor was I looking for anything or anyone to do something for me. I was just wondering what it was Excel did with a stocklist that was of use. I already know that Excel is a spreadsheet program, I just don't know how to use...

    Anyone watch CNBC's Fast Money?

What do you think about this show? I don't think it's so bad. I like the idea of four traders giving point/counterpoint much better than the Mad Money format where Cramer spoon feeds his zombies. Also, unlike Cramer, these guys talk about shorting, calls, puts, futures, TA etc...

    How Does Excel Help Traders?

Sorry if this sound so very ignorant. I noticed that Excel seems to be everywhere that you find stock lists, including here at ET. I also notice that the stock lists on investors.com such as the IBD 100 etc., are downloadable to Excel. I know Excel is a spreadsheet program (that I don't know...

Trade Ideas will do both of these, intraday or post market. You can select from real time or a history (timeframe). However, you can only choose from the candlestick patterns it has on it's list and set up your own timeframe.

Who uses a Schedule C for their Trading?

Since the Mark to Market subject has been brought up.... Could a trader with MTM status move a porttion of their profits (up to the legal limit for IRAs) from their taxable trading account into an IRA account each year to reduce their taxable income? I wonder what percentage of ET posters...

    PC or MAC for Trading?

Thanks for all the replies. I'll stick with a PC since there doesn't seem to be any real advantage to trading on a Mac. Don account#88888

    PC or MAC for Trading?

Are there any true advantages to using either/or specifically for trading? I want to purchase a new computer and dedicate it for trading only. Therefore I don't need all the bells and whistles like Media Center, excessive storage etc.. I don't run anything more than Scottrade Elite with Trade...

Which came first the chart or the tape?

I like to look at the chart and then watch the tape. In other words, it's the chart that gets my attention but it's the tape that tells the true story. A chart will show a few 100 lot trades moving up or down and it looks good but the tape shows the true colors. When big blocks move you see...

    Former Scottrade Brokers

I'm not sure they have any training at all. I have Scottrade accounts and all the "brokers" have been good for has been to open my accounts and take deposits. They are more like bank tellers. I know a discount broker is not expected to have answers but when I call with a problem like a stuck...

    Please Forgive This Question

May God be with the victims of the tornados. I mean no disrespect. But this being a trading forum I wonder what you might be trading Monday morning as a result of the storms? I assume that many of the same building supply stocks will be on the move that were on the move after Katrina. Just...
