Scat,you must know when you show a chart with the last day of trading at the hard right edge and point out all the support and resistance levels that held,its 100% hindsight analysis.Plus the unfolding real time chart looks completely different than a chart at the hard right edge... Thats why...

Not only cant you go back in time,but one has no idea how life would have turned out if one remained on the same path.. Easy to second guess,a bit more difficult to be appreciative for what we have in the moment

I have a sneaking suspicion that you arent a "derivatives trader" which is probably a good thing. If you are employed,working from home and trading a time frame > 15 minutes, that seems like the best of both worlds..You can always set aside funds for longer term investing..

Am I the only one that looks at the opportunity cost of Day Trading(high paying job with benefits)?? I am also assuming no one here is talking about Day Trading right out of college,or under 25

What do you mean by "for options does happen"?? Are you referring to options as in derivatives?

Where is WXYtrader when you need him? He has a simple solution.... Dont like losing trades?? Simple Start on the smallest time frame possible,and if wrong, follow the ABC's of trading A) Day Trader> B) Swing Trader> C) Investor No need to ever realize a loss :)

I think the distinction between blindly adding to losers and "premeditated" scaling in needs to be made. If one approaches scaling in with proper money management and risk control,I see nothing wrong with it..

Crushing it is relative,so it's hard to define...IMHO,if you can knock home 17 percent plus on AUM, with consistency,you are crushing it.. I get that there are a handful of guys doing far better,but for everyone one if them ,there is a truckload of "belly up" traders
