Glad to see I'm not alone on IE 7 issues. Mine locks up pretty regularly. Most times, I need to reboot to get it to connect again. Other browsers I've used have always been slower that IE versions. The speed is the difference for me.

Rosy, You said that "not until globex or another other electronic venues can handle options trading". Globex handles options on ES, , NQ, ER2, and a lot of currency contracts. I think 9 floor currency contracts go side by side on 12/18. They can handle options trading.

Aurum is correct. IB does have data pauses now and then. But nothing terribly long. It's true that no matter where you go, you won't be immune. If MBT upgrades some of that electrical equipment that went out, heck, it might be better now going forward. But that memory of that long outage remains...

I second IB. I've been with them since 2002 and they've been great.

NYX closed 10/2/06 at 73.86. Less than 2 months later it's now at 96. Your considering March 07s, 3+ months out. It's too close for comfort for me. When you go up fast, you can come down just as fast. But, if the stock stays bullish, like the exchanges have, you can say it was a smart trade.

Observation over the past few days. VIX has been dropping, to below 10 today. The Feb07 VIX futures contract has went up from 128.50/129 last Thursday to 130.70 today. Feb contact owners must be looking for a bounce to price them up when the VIX is falling.
