The real people at fault for this mess: The Ratings Agencies

Exactly! I'm not sure that the banks, RE people, and all else involved as a whole did anything illegal. The ratings agencies, though, what they did is outright fraud. How they continue to operate is beyond me. Did you see the 'House of Cards' special by CNBC? They interview a lady who...

housing sale in nyc, q about 1970s.

When the news stories say something to the effect of: "Who the heck would buy real estate right now!!??".....Then you buy like there's no tomorrow. It cracks me up that houses are still being valued by their 2006 inflated prices that weren't real to start with. I see it all the time in my...

    What about F?

What do you all think of Ford? I know I should have my head examined for thinking of buying automotive stock, but consider this: If GM tanks completely, which it will, it's one of the big TWO and the only publicly traded car company in America. Stock price has held it's own last couple...

Robert Kiyosaki now teaches people to "trade"

I don't care for a lot of what RK says, but his books are good for motivational purposes. He does bring up a lot of good ways of thinking that are against the conventional 'wisdom' (which usually isn't very wise). He has always preached that your home is not an asset, which at the time was...

    Reassuring my Wife

My advice is take the time to learn the markets and if you really want to be a good trader, develop yourself a good trading system. This way you can keep the wife and let her know you're taking the time to be a 'student of the markets'. The more leg work you do ahead of time, the less risky it...

    Help a forex rookie out.

I don't think this statement is entirely true. When you place a trade in Forex, a lot happens behind the scenes that you as the trader do not necessarily have to be concerned with. The bare minimum a trader needs to know is: What is the value per pip of the pair I am trading? I'll admit...

    Help a forex rookie out.

This response is misguided. You cannot have unlimited downside risk in Forex, which is what it seems you are trying to say. Downside risk is only limited to the cash within the account. The brokers won't let you trade if you don't have enough to put up in margin. I know quite a few people...

anyone using Saxobank to trade exotic fx options ?

I used to trade exotics back when FXCM used to offer them a few years ago. I'll have to look into Saxo and trade these again. It may be a good way to trade through this volatility storm called Forex.

    the BEST traders i know

Here's a good example of why this is a good market for traders. I don't even trade the equities markets, I usually concentrate on Forex. I don't have a system for equities, going on gut feel here. I'm up 500% since last week at this time, like candy from a baby. True story. Brabed

    Short-term trading with Oscar

Hi all. I don't know much about this Oscar guy, I haven't watched any of his videos (I plan on watching a few later after this posting) but he sure seems like a Cramer wanna-be to me. At least Cramer, despite being annoying and arrogant is the real deal. I try to follow the 'make your own...

How much different Is forex from the stock market

To answer the original question: Yes, if you are a good technician in the stock market then you should do well in Forex, but you must learn it's nuances. The Forex market has so much more liquidity than stocks, that this brings with it stability and, to a point, predictability.

How much different Is forex from the stock market

Bottom line here, gentleman, is this: Theta made a broad statement that TA doesn't work and that got a lot of folk's attention. In my view, using statistics is a form of TA so therefore he made his own point moot. It comes down to semantics and I think that what Theta ultimately intended...

How much different Is forex from the stock market

Still, seems ridiculous to call someone stupid who by no means challenged or offended anyone, regardless of experience. Gotta love these forums. As long as you're content with listening to people drone on about MA's and MACD everything's cool. But the second someone has a novel idea that...
