    PPT does it exist?

Well we know for certain that it does in Japan and there are persistent whispers that it does in Germany.........maybe. My understanding was that "it" was created to deal more with crises in the bond market than the equities markets. Look at Long Term Capital Mgt. who made the decision to...

Is this week much tougher for anyone else?

Today I had my first losing trade since March 4th. had I been a bit more patient I could have got out of it flat. Just a $35 hit however. Choppy and tiring but it's been worth it.

Finance, Law and Medias completely controled by the satanic sect of Skull and Bones

Oh not quite ! It's been well known for years that the Algonquin Club is really the military arm of Skull and Bones. Harry, aren't there some good libraries or better things to do in France?

new option cancel fees for IB

MAdgenius: I'd appreciate your input on my previous questions. Here is one more. Understand, I'm not getting on your case here just looking for information. Q: If as you say, the exchanges are complaining that all these alleged cancels use too much system resources, how will a fee change...

new option cancel fees for IB

I also appreciate your viewpoint and time; Please tell us, if you will, do cancelled orders have any affect on you as a MM ? Do you think a fee would affect volume? Would a cancel fee perhaps limit people trying to get inside the spread? Or is this just a technology problem at the...

new option cancel fees for IB

I would propose that the exchange upgrade it's system resources for starters. Also, I'd point out that market makers are constantly replacing their B/A which is exactly what retail traders are doing when canceling or modifying orders. why should MM's be a preferred class of people? If...

new option cancel fees for IB

I think you're misunderstanding the memo, or I am. The $.25/executed CONTRACT capped at $3.75 is the amount applied to reduction, not the cancellation fee itself. At least that's how I read it.

new option cancel fees for IB

Hii--- I think you must have received a different memo than I did. Def: Obviously IB needs to provide some concise clarification with examples. Thanks.

new option cancel fees for IB

That's the way I understand the memo. It just doesn't go quite far enough in it's explanation.

new option cancel fees for IB

I can't take any more of this asshole ! Please Baron, block this jerk's IP address. This guy belongs back on the Yahoo boards or somewhere in some European socialist shithole where Uncle Ivan can hold his hand through life. Enough of the irresponsible, baseless allegations.

new option cancel fees for IB

That's peculiar since IB's notice says the fees will become effective April 14, 2003.

new option cancel fees for IB

QDZ3-2-QDZ; It's truly amazing that you have the answers to questions that DEF does not. Especially since you are not an IB customer. Perhaps you are an insider at Timber Hill or on intimate terms with IB management, oh, but that would make you a greedy manipulator dedicated to illegal...

new option cancel fees for IB

While I don't like this change, it is understandable from IB's point of view. I too think the exchanges are attempting to change behavior and eliminate scalping. I can see this potentially reducing volume overall which isn't good. I also think it's a backdoor attempt to avoid linkage or the...

biggest down day of the year

I agree. I did buy some OEX puts at the close on friday to hedge the gains in long calls. I can't give you a percentage but I have a rule of thumb that works most of the time. On expiration friday near the close get short or at least long some puts. All the stock that the arbs have bought on...

How Can It Be That The Spreads Are So Wide on OEX Options?

Not saying they don't exist, but I've never seen a five dollar spread. I suppose at the right strike and expiry, there could be.
