    collective2

Don't know. I saw collective2.com for the first time only when the other ET member posted the url and asked about it. My guess, and this is a thought originally aired by another ET member regarding systems in general, is that Vortex signals were successful through 2004 because they basically...

    Well, that explains the miracle.

    Few points against shorting EUR/USD

This post is made on November 8th, one week and 300-plus positive pips after you say you entered the dollar long position. After "ten years" in the forex business, surely you've seen these "past posting" miracles before? Past posting = betting on the horse race as the winner's hitting the wire.

    What happened to FxSkalper?

You're not referring to me: hell, I swatted Nick DeJour around like so many flies -- to him directly each time.

    What happened to FxSkalper?

I would not have stayed interested in ET or bothered to try posting on it if not for the presence of veteran members. Now, anyone might say that's bad luck for ET (i.e., me becoming a part of it), but my general point and conclusion are this: while entertainment value -- notice, distraction...

    What happened to FxSkalper?

I suspect Nick DeJour is with us now, posting under one or more new nicks. He may have improved by shedding his "tells." If so, he wouldn't be the only poster to employ blue smoke and mirrors.

How strong will dollar have to be?

Another board member, mtzianos, enlightened me as to why dollar is making up so much ground on Yen -- a result, primarily, of gusher of EZ money in Japan (lent effectively at zero interest) versus tightening in the USA. Previously, I -- like many others -- believed current accounts and...

    collective2

Team Forex, its Vortex signals, and its leader James de Wet are not unknown to forex forum audiences -- both here, on Moneytec, and on fxstreet.com, which featured de Wet as a fx commentator. Apparently, from the post in the other thread (forum Forex Trading, "Comparing the stock market with...

Here's the relevant cut and paste from the thread: . . . 1Do anyone know a good atomized system or preferably an independent site that audit different systems, and compare them like collective2.com and what do you think about this system...

Comparing the stock market with forex.

The url you post and ask about purports to audit signals ("Vortex II") from Team Forex, an entity more accurately covered at this url: http://www.cftc.gov/opa/enf05/opa5126-05.htm

FXCM Is Buying RefcoFX - Deal is Done - Funds are safe

No. My comment is based on what I read about it. If I had to guess, I would think that the highly-intertwined nature of RefcoFX and FXCM (as reported in this thread, I mean) would raise in the mind of the bankruptcy judge some question of self-dealing. But who knows for sure?

Correct, but thankfully, from the looks of this thread, ET is catching up. Bravo!

Four years and the best you can do is grind against a bucketshop. I'm not impressed. Try the deepwater. None of the fish MT is looking to hook swim there, or ever will, almost certainly.

FXCM Is Buying RefcoFX - Deal is Done - Funds are safe

Which raises the interesting question, theological in nature, whose suffering is the greatest: 1) the RefcoFX fish who is bucketed to bust prior to bankruptcy, or 2) the RefcoFX fish who, having been saved temporarily by the bankruptcy (account frozen), is bucketed to bust by FXCM...

FXCM Is Buying RefcoFX - Deal is Done - Funds are safe

You’re correct, only the bankruptcy judge can be certain. It's not doom and gloom to point out that fact. The MOU looks great for the customers, and I hope for their sake that it is accepted as submitted. But to say, as some have, that the "legit" character of these firms accounts for the...

    Refco FX Next on Block

I checked and did not see it yesterday on wsj.com. I did a word search, too, which did not pull it up. So maybe it was in the print edition. Interesting part of the quoted material: “'We will not be buying a continuing business, because it is utterly worthless, but we do want the accounts,'...

    Forex day trading

Fair enough, certainly. I'll note that once shills and scammers have free range, this forum pretty quickly could become cornered by shills and scammers. Or at least so cluttered by them that there's little reason for anyone honest to bother. That's happened to another board. Also, that's the...

    Forex day trading

200 pips x 400x gearing: isn't that 80,000 pips? Why start with one thousand? At that rate, couldn't I fund my account with one dollar and still make enough each month to live large and, like Mountain Trader, also quit my job? Or maybe two dollars just in case (unlikely I know given the 90...

Which forex brokers DON'T trade against you ???

Yes, but you've still not replied to my question (in another thread) about Hotel El San Juan, where I used to shoot dice (long time ago). Beautiful place. Very posh, or it was then. Thought you might have been there for drinks. P.S. "Arch enemy" of Saxo? Nope, just another chump...
