    Trajan's options journal

Being a little biased because I'm short(longer post will follow and is already saved in word so it can't be lost), a little sell off before the announcement is preferable to me because it will probably cause IVs to pop a little more and a relief rally to ensue. Relief for the option vols will...

    Trajan's options journal

Forgot to add that as the stock tanked, I offered 5 more of the Feb 15s at 1.50 just in case somebody was desperate at the close. Nobody was. I will also add that the position currently takes about $10,000 for margin.

It will probably consist of the front two month options. My focus will be on every time frame in that range. From scalping for a quick flip to earnings plays, my focus will be on finding what I perceived to be mispriced options. This won't neccessarily be what a pricing model says is cheap or...

    Trajan's options journal

I've started a more advanced options trading strategy than merely swing trading long options. It has been three years since my last experience trading like this on the floor. My capital is small at 30k, but, should allow me to put on positions large enough to eek out a profit. I will focus on...

    PIMCO on Floor Vs. Screen

I reread what you originally posted and agree with what was said. They are different markets. While both being institutional in focus, options provide more alternatives.

Yeah, the Nikkei goes down on profit taking.

    PIMCO on Floor Vs. Screen

I think Maverick is too negative about Chicago. It has the institutional memory to keep going as a financial center but eventually the floors will go, sooner rather than later.

    PIMCO on Floor Vs. Screen

Exactly, I read an article previously posted where MacMillan talked about how equity option MMs have a noble calling to their job. It was complete bullshit. Nobody has an obligation to lose money.
