also...when I trade the ETF's I usually only trade the ones where the average true range (ATR) is +1% of current price. So I will usually substitute INTC and/or MSFT for XLK when I'm in that sector. just my 2 cents.
@vanzandt hey, concerning the XLK options....I swing trade the most liquid ETF'S, but find that the B/A spread on the XLK's too wide..your thoughts on the spread ?
So the entire world believes that if XLF breaks 23 it is going much lower. If so how would you play it ? ATM puts on the break ? Wait for shorts to be shaken ? Wait for counter trend rally ? Bear call spread above ? Just asking....

peer to peer instruments are along the lines of airline miles. The airline is my counterparts risk. If you are saying Bitcoin is a peer to peer instrument, who is the counterparty ?
