Looks like narrow range (NR7) inside bars on SPY and QQQQ today.
Another poster said they are not "significant", but that would depend on one's trading strategy. For me they are very significant
Another good site that I have used is www.crucial.com
pick your model # and it shows you what choices you have.
I bought from them a few years ago. Prices seemed good and shipping was fast.
I've traded with both Echotrade and Vtrader and have no problem recommending them. I believe both still have offices in Chicago.
I'm currently with Echo, remote. No complaints.
Good luck.
You think that's pricey? Umm, ok. Yeah, there are a few reputable firms that compete, Bright, Hold Bros.
I have a feeling you'll tell us about another firm that competes.
Just to make clear, I have never been compensated in ANY way for touting Echo.
The desk fee/software charges can be anywhere from $100-$400 a month. The total software charge depends on what data you need. For example, I don't get AMEX or futures quotes so my fee is a bit cheaper. I don't get news either.
You do get $100 rebate for every 100,000shares traded in a month...
Albany Happy Hour
I'm going to hit happy hour with a few friends (non-traders) on the next two Fridays.(tomorrow and next week).
Tomorrow we'll be starting at the Lark St area. Lion Heart, Legends, Lark Tavern etc.
If anyone wants to meet up let me know.
Trade Well.
Very nice. Clean and it looks like it might be an out building or "shed" like the title says. That's great. One problem with my office is the interuptions. Kids, wife, dog, always coming in .
3gb is pretty good, but you can see if you can add more by going to www.crucial.com
choose your computer or motherboard model and it will give you options. I've bought RAM from there and shipping was fast and the memory was good.
Sterling has a scanner?
As far as the latency, other people have said that speed issues sometimes depend on other factors. I didn't notice any problems the last few days.
I pay $305 at Echo. That gets me order entry, charts, and all quotes except futures and AMEX.
For every 100,000 shares traded in a month a $100 software rebate is given.
