i am trading forex. would there be a difference between overnight margin vs usable margin?

what is the difference between usable margin vs usable maint margin? Here is a screenshot from fxcm. i was told that i have 1:50 leverage but yet, having opened a microlot, it has used up 100$ worth of margin. it appears to be 1:10 leverage if it is the case.

i am trying now. i have to load all the chart data and it does not refresh on drill down.

I played with it and could not find out how to do it

Is there any tool that allows for drill downs? for eg. i need a pane of daily bars and another pane of hourly bars. when i click on the daily bar, the hourly bars are shown for the same date. Any ideas. I use amibroker but there is no syncronization like this especially if i want to look at...

i just wanted to use one source to update the symbols weekly in amibroker as the data is provided by iqfeed and the symbol format need the match the source. The symbol format for LSE has a specific prefix.

i tried to download teh symbols from http://www.dtniq.com/product/mktsymbols_v2.zip The number of stocks listed in nasdaq is 3.5k but the number of stocks that in thier symbols lookup is showing is >63k. its the same >63k for nasdaq in the zip file too. how do i filter out the right symbols...

I use the function reqMktData and it gets me the open/high/low/close with realtime data for stocks. however when I apply the same for the forex symbols, I only get bid and ask. how can I get the open for the day?

will the ExecutionId coming from interactive brokers be unique? how about partial fills, does it send different Executionid's? public virtual void execDetails(int reqId, Contract contract, Execution execution)

I kicked stated my first auto trading with IB paper a/c. I found that I was not getting market data until I restarted the TWS. how can I monitor the following conenctions via api and alert myself if needed.

what does that mean?

I added my ip address to the IB to stop prompting for my accept incoming connection but it continues to do so. how can I prevent it.

it works from my paper a/c . but when I try with the demo a/c that you can open with ib. its supposed to eb 1 week delayed data. but it does not work as they document it on their website. https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=1286 the only orders and data that works is forex data

when I try to connect to IB demo using the stock application that it provides with the samples, I cannot get market data. I am only trying to test it and don't care on quality or timeliness of the data. what stocks will work on the IB demo? Request -1, Code: 2104 - Market data farm connection...

I am trying to download historical data via rs43/ib-csharp For example. Until 8 am EST today, I could get hist data using daily bars only till 28th. after 8 am, i can get till 29th. Would the historical data skip a day? Not sure where i was doing it wrong.
