This bull mkt ends with China's bubble

Please................... Past history is NOT a guarantee of future results. Its easy and simple for those that don't do their homework to consider China as US part deux but there are huge differences in the time scales and period of the world that we are in now. Back then, equities weren't...

This bull mkt ends with China's bubble

I guess you have nothing better to do than stalk me from post to post. I don't bother to keep track of your posts, they are a bunch of snide remarks at others with little original content. If that's what you enjoy doing, go right ahead.

This bull mkt ends with China's bubble

China's advantage in its low cost labor force is gradually fading away, there is rampant inflation in China and rising wages are going to have to passed on by corporations in the form of higher costs for finished goods. Inflation in things that we need (oil, food, metals) has been roaring...

This bull mkt ends with China's bubble

The only real growth for the US is exporting to emerging markets, and China is the symbol of emerging markets. When the Chinese equity bubble finally pops, that will be the catalyst for the American and European markets to start a bear market. Subprime and credit problems are a symptom of...

Faber sees bull run ending as recession looms for US

I know Faber is bearish on the markets because of valuation, if the market was trading much lower, I'm sure he'd be bullish. Recessions are part of the business cycle, if the Fed tries to repeal them and only have good times, the Fed is only fooling itself. The consequences won't show up...

Jim Rogers Sees `Skyrocketing' Prices for Commodities

150 oil is not that expensive, oil can do so much, it really was underpriced for the last century. People were so used to cheap oil that they took it for granted. Oil is such a vital commodity, the shieks have so much they basically gave the stuff away for the last 40 years.

    Inflation just 2%?

They are the only player that can print dollars. They are the ones that determine inflation. Inflation is not that complicated. If the Fed prints a lot of money, inflation rises sharply. If they don't, it doesn't.

    Inflation just 2%?

Why does the Fed with its massive printing operation force rational people to have to hedge out their dollars? If they actually cared about keeping a sound currency, this step wouldn't be required. Maybe you are long dollars and could care less if your dollar gets watered down so that...

    Inflation just 2%?

Will we ever have an inflation problem if we measure inflation with the CPI? Those buying TIPs are the dumbest bunch of suckers who believe that it will protect them against inflation. LOL.... With the CPI, everything just improves and you are always getting "more" for the higher prices...

    Something major is happening here

Foreigners are in effect financing American lifestyles as well as the American war buying up dollar denominated assets which is created by the printing presses. Foreigners have so far had faith in the dollar, but its slowly going away. Once they realize that the Fed is going to continue to...

    Bonds got crushed today

The 10 year yield is now at 4.69%, the 30 year yield is now at 4.96%, on Tuesday before the cut, they were at 4.47% and 4.73% respectively. You are seeing massive foreign repatriation out of bonds, they don't want to be stuck holding the bag with worthless paper. Great job Ben.

Is it just me, or is the .50 drop BAD for the econ?

The Fed only thinks short term, there hasn't been a revolutionary Fed chairman since Volcker. They all want to please the public, now. The Fed's power has gone to its head, its micromanaging of every little problem in the economy while overlooking the consequences in the future are what's...

    Something major is happening here

The USD is getting pounded against all major currencies, the 10 and 30 year Treasury yields have bumped up significantly, causing mortgage rates to RISE. And oil is now almost $84/barrel! Heli Ben made a BIG MISTAKE. The market has spoken, the equity traders will finally wake up, the...

As the third quarter draws to a close

I don't know, maybe you're right, but the market has gone up a lot after the rate cut, I think the majority think the coast is clear for the market to head higher now with the rate cuts. I think its an overreaction by the market based on emotional decision making and people listening to Cramer.

How will the goverment hide inflation?

According to the CPI, there is no inflation, you are just getting "more" for the higher prices! Its hedonic pricing! That's how they screw the elders on Social Security who's income is tied to the CPI.

    Why I'm angry at Bernanke

I am short $ versus Euro and Yen. I think the Yen is the most undervalued big currency out there because of the yen carry trade.
