I would strongly disagree that "everyone" has a chance of success in the markets. Success in life yes. But not in markets. Padu obviously doesn't have the personality for it. At 67 years old, he's not going to change. Especially given that he's been at the markets for so long. I have a feeling...

Here's a helpful hint: Take TopStep Trader's revenue model and try to model it like you were on their end of the equation. Just see how much money they can make off failed traders, especially given the high amount of those who are willing to participate. It's clear which side of the trade you'd...

I like many others also invested a lot of time in Brooks. I can't say I got no value out of it. At that time it did give me some framework to operate with, but when you combine the lack of specificity "You can trade this market in any direction", and poor communication (his books are a disaster...

Demo trading is fine. And in Padu's case that's a life saver. The point is someone objected to his contract size so I felt that was moot given it was demo. But turns out Padu is doing TopStep trader, like many a desperate soul. So he's at a casino essentially. With no free drinks. What a bummer...

How childish... tried to hide the account name. This guy is beyond those who are beyond hopeless. Why even bother? He's just not well. He comes here because he wants the interaction.

He's trading demo. And he will do one of two things: trade demo, or trade TopStep. I just sure hope whatever money he does have left he will invest into SPY, then at least he can say he's made money in the S&Ps.

Unfortunately people in his position who have wasted so much time are major victims of sunk cost fallacy. Obviously he is in an environment where he doesn't have to answer for his time, hence he can waste it for as many years as God gives him. Not a good situation to be in.

You're clearly a lost cause Padu. But 1) market is slow again, and I'm doing this instead of watching YouTube and 2) there are other people reading this for sure.

I keep wondering when I'm going to give up on this thread, but I guess I find I'm arguing with all the crazy people I've met at that one Trader's Expo that came back to life here... Padu, you remind me of all the guys who'd buy body building magazines (in the pre-internet days), have a gym...

I also want to add that here you are looking for Al Brooks or whomever else to tell you what to do. As I've said before, these people are technical analysts. You won't divine any great secrets from them. After you accrue your technical knowledge, it is your job to ask the MARKET questions, not...

That's not true. Traders have to grow, learn, evolve. Everyone starts as a losing trader. That's just how the market works. You earn the right to make a profit, and that is done through focused work over a significant period of time. The difference is between those who don't do what it takes...

Like I said earlier, Padu is trading for an experience, not because he's running a business with an expected profit. Thence Padu is getting exactly what he wants: lots of views on a trading forum, zero trading profits. Let's check back in 5 years and see how that's going.

This thread is so sad. Entertaining and sad at the same time.

I got it now. Padu, take your meds. Bad things happen when we don't take our meds.

I believe what I'm reading from you. A guy who has zero focus and no interest in doing hard work. History has proven that this is the cornerstone of all great successes. I have good news for you though. There is one way you definitely WILL make money in the S&P, though. Buy SPY, and hold, and...

In that case he better delete this thread so nobody can back trace him to this... ET is after all quite watched in the community :D Another Trader Expo story. Some Korean guy was about to listen to a presentation, and he taps me on the shoulder and says "I can teach you to trade the S&P! I have...

Padu each trading day has 78 5 minute bars. If you click through each bar for an average of 3 seconds, you can look through a day's session in just 4 minutes. With 12 hours of work you'd be through 180 trading days in one pass. I bet if you just took a few days to do two passes of 6 months of...

Randomly blurting out quotes does not prove how smart you are not to mention how good or bad of a trader you are. There are plenty of people with twitter feeds who put out smart quotes on trading but can't trade. Trading is work. It's doing gruelling study of charts, looking at lots of...

Padu, do you think you're going to get somewhere by just quoting other traders all the time? I mean we might as well write all your favorite quotes on strips of paper, toss them in a hat, and then randomly pull one out and use it in a post. You quote others, but you don't seem to want to do...
