    eSignal 11.5 Releases

Maybe. But unlikely. I have been bitching about the same issues since v11.5.0 to no avail. New functionality at the expense of old.

    eSignal 11.5 Releases

That certainly did help me. I downloaded a copy of NinjaTrader and scanned the manual for the things I mostly do, and concluded I didn't want to endure the mental pain of changing software and languages at my age. 11.5 is so different from 10.6 that getting it to work smoothly is mostly "by...

    eSignal 11.5 Releases

Hidden orders. Auto-refresh orders. Iceberg orders. Spoofing. Far better to know where support and resistance are. The real book is clustered tightly around them.

    eSignal 11.5 Releases

Sorry, someone else will have to answer that. I don't do stocks. And I think that bid/ask depth is total bullshit.

    eSignal 11.5 Releases

Sorry I wasn't clear, Bear. I'm a chronic Alzheimocolic. I meant the last two updates to v11.5. Prior to that I had issues with 11.5, now my codes run fine and the page format is stable. Amazed at how I couldn't comprehend my own shit when presented in 11.5 format, which I loathe.

    eSignal 11.5 Releases

Not possible. They're perfect. What bothers me as a committed client is the dearth of bitching and/or questions on the user forum. Is everybody slobbering happy or don't they give a shit? I must be fair and say that I haven't been able to break the last couple of updates, which is why I...

    eSignal 11.5 Releases

A hard question to answer. What I do is chart on one minute and one second and run fourteen home-brewed studies. I have performance metrics for those studies in 10.6, but 11.5 does not yet have a performance monitor. My gut feel is that 11.5 loads slower, but as to execution speeds I have no...

Simulating Market Orders on OHLC data

I code to trade the close of the bar because when I used to system trade I would punch at 58 or 59 seconds into the minute of the signal to get a good estimate of slippage.

    eSignal 11.5 Releases

Maybe I don't have it configured right. Thanks!

    eSignal 11.5 Releases

Build 11.5.2959 went up on Feb 7, 2013. Heaven forfend that they should inform users by email or on the support forum when they make a new release. I still hate it relative to 10.6 but I converted over about a week ago with much aggravation and dissatisfaction because eventually I'll have no...

A Visualization of Which Side is Winning

Twelve years ago I observed that inflections which fail start out looking exactly like inflections which succeed. For the subsequent twelve years I sought through every method in my mathemagical arsenal to distinguish the difference. Finally, I found it. Inflections which are going to fail, do fail.

A Visualization of Which Side is Winning

Why is it that criticism from women hurts so much worse? Maybe you will like this one better. Actually, I am better with my hands than I am at trading.

A Visualization of Which Side is Winning

It was? Then I screwed up! Attached is same for today. I am an old man and tend to fall asleep a lot. So when I wake up I need a quick status update.

Who are the top five stock trading guru's who teach their methods?

I'd be careful if I were you, unless you are an NLP master. Think Obi-Wan Kenobe on steroids. I think I am pretty good at it after over 40 years of practice, but Jack can make me roll into the foetal position and bawl just using the printed word.

Is the price actually a shadow?

As long as we are making analogies, I live in a hill top where the winds tend to swirl. So in the fall my neighbors get few of my leaves but I get most of theirs. I cheerfully collect them and conpost them in bins and piles for next year's gardens. The lesson? In a swirling market, make compost.

Is the price actually a shadow?

Just got back from a week of doing nothing much but sitting on the beach with a cooler of champagne, waiting for the next gourmet restaurant to start serving. I realized that I collect seashells like I trade. I find a nice surfy spot where shells tend to wash up and wait for them to come to me...

Is the price actually a shadow?

As Smaranam is to Kurgan? I love your faux pauvre orthographe. Very creative. A more apt analogy is Plato's Allegory of the Cave in The Republic. Which sans doute as a well-educated person amusing himself slumming, you know. But a better analogy is celestial mechanics in a complex orrery.
