You are not technically right until a donward test of your up line. If the index test the line then turns up above the high, from which it came to test the line, then you are correct. However if the line fails you will have fallen for the bear trap.

Just got a flyer from the CME saying that you can get their e-mini live for $30 from the CME. It also says something about FuturesSource charting for $30 and $65. I think it could be worth looking into, for quotes directly from the CME

The mini stuff on the CBOT is what used to be the MidAm. CME used to give away the e-mini data, but of course now they charge $10 for it.

sure thing easyrider..........and these are just a couple of weeks of observations.......... First note I am looking at 5 min charts, for both NQ and ES, and using a breakout type system. I think I see the NQ to be more volitile than the ES, and I like the volitility, but of course it does...

Didn't notice the date on the thread until pointed out...but.... I day trade the bonds and 10 yr notes based on the 5 min charts, and have been watching NQ (which seems to me to be better than the ES). The bonds are very liquid and offer quick fills and can be very predicable at times...
