Which markets or instruments are you trading?

I gotta test trading NQ vs ES. I need to start gathering tick data first.

Is Tom Hougaard the real deal?

Were you able to make money by following his trades? It's a bit suspicious that you just registered on this forum to post your appraising on that guy. But maybe it's just me...

    Broker silently changed the conditions...

I wish I could take that type of position with only 20$....

Getting a fill from other exchanges...

Well, there will be 2 trades, one at the away exchange, and one at the originating exchange. Your order will be printed at the originating exchange. The order what is sent away is not your order per se. Fees has nothing to do with it, although, you might (like in your case) be charged back the...

Getting a fill from other exchanges...

This was the first version of the linkage. It has been replaced since (around 2014 or so). The process has changed but the results for retail traders are the same. To answer OP's question, all US option exchanges have to ensure that public customer orders (PC/retail) are filled at NBBO. If an...

    Index futures automation

Interesting stats. But since you have no losing day, your DD was intraday? And does this show opened DD or only closed DD? (I'm guessing the former otherwise the stats don't make sense!!)

DD (opened + closed), Stdev, distribution, etc.

How much have done in May as performance so far ?

Performance for 2 weeks is meaningless. A YTD or the last quarter would have been a better question. Also, % performance by itself can be misleading if we don't show the risk involved.

IBGw and Sunday evening restart for trading ETH

I'm looking at starting to trade ES during the ETH. Being trading on RTH for many years (fully automated). For the guys who are trading ES in full ETH (starting from Sunday pm ET) and using IBGw, How do you handle the reconnection during the Sunday night disconnect? 1) You stay up and reconnect...

    ES Journal - 2023/2024

I opened and closed only 1 position today, at the end of the day. Ended green, it's all that matter to me.

    ES Journal - 2023/2024

No, I've never tested it on NQ. I've tested it on CL, but with limited results. ES and NQ are too correlated for my taste. Losses from high volatility periods are hard to recover during periods of low volatility. The reverse is also true. Losses from low volatility periods are easy to recover...

    ES Journal - 2023/2024

The good thing is, it's hard to lose big. The bad thing is, it's hard to make money.

Why are there illegal option orders in the orderbook?

I'm guessing you know what is a Market maker right? For the ones who don't know, a Market maker is a firm that is assigned certain names to quote on. MM can have many hundreds thousands series for which they need to provide quotes (this can be up to a million). Quote updates are calculated...

    depression days trading

You are comparing apples with oranges unless you are addictive to trading and trade based on your emotions and feelings. If a person is addictive to trading, that's another game. But the original question of the OP was not about that. If a person is trading based on how he/she feels, that's a...

    depression days trading

I may sound like a broker record but, If you have a plan and follow it, your emotions and feelings shouldn't be a problem. You shouldn't trade based on your emotions and feelings, but based on a solid trading plan with specific set of rules. Bad trading on days when you feel bad is not a cause...

    Risk management techniques

LOL....I do exactly the opposite. Based on certain market parameters, my size varies from one day to another. Profit expectancy is not the same for each day and there are ways to measure it.

How to make a foul of yourself when you don't know what you are talking about but pretend to. There should be a dedicated section for those wanna be traders who knows sh!t!!
