Yeah, I got a little lazy. Will catch up on the individual trades today. :)

BTW - I'm watching illiquids reverse sequence times today and will post those results.

    Something very simplistic

So far +2.50 on ES and +21 NQ total. 10:04 trade on ES double whammy.
  4. Q

IB, Globex and Limit / Stop Orders

Your stop price and the limit price don't have to be the same - so just set the stop price to the price you want it to activate on, and set the limit price a few points higher or lower so you essentially end up with a market order (a regular stop) that resides on globex.
  5. Q

    Something very simplistic

The values are not exactly the same - close though. I don't know if it would give the same results for the system - I'll take a look at it today.
  6. Q

    Something very simplistic

I'm only using the one minute chart to get the open of the one minute bar for the timed entry. I'm using the 17,1,17 stochastics to decide the entry - at the time the one minute bar opens.
  7. Q

    Something very simplistic

I'm not using that 24,1,24 on the one minute myself - I just remembered ctrader saying before that he was using that because he didn't get 2 minute charts in his feed. I'm only looking at the 2 minute 17,1,17.
  8. Q

"keep it simple" - yeah, RIGHT

GG - What are you trading (or going to trade)? Stocks? Futures?
  9. Q

    Something very simplistic

Did you happen to lookat that 24,1,24 stoch at the same time as you are comparing the bars? If so, how do they compare?

    For 9/24/2002: ESZ2: 12 Total Trades 10 Winners 1 Loser and 1 B/E Avg. Winner +1.00 / Avg. Loser -1.25 Gross 8.75 points - $437.50/contract Commission $57.60 Net $379.90/contract NQZ2: 12 Total Trades 9 Winners 3 Losers Avg. Winner +3.00 / Avg. Loser -2.83 Gross 18.50...
  11. Q

    Something very simplistic

Yes, both ES and NQ. First 5 or 6 trades required reversal, a couple of those took double-whammy's. Basically, lots of big chop after the open.
  12. Q

    Something very simplistic

I think that taking the opposite direction is critical if you are going to trade every 15 minutes - on even 15 minute increments, just like you are doing. If you offest that 15 minutes by some amount of time - then trading in the direction of the previous bars seems to work better.
  13. Q

    Something very simplistic

Things are nice so far - ES 7 trades, 6 winner, one -1.25 with a 0 on the reversal. NQ 6 winners 1 double whammy.
  14. Q

    Something very simplistic

Stop using that unauthorized version or I'll have to contact my legal team....:D Nice work, and good idea.
  15. Q

"keep it simple" - yeah, RIGHT

That is the perfect question - and a question that I find that many new traders can't really answer. It is a whle lot easier to find a way to get what you want out of trading vs. trying to see what you can get out of trading.
  16. Q

    Something very simplistic

Sorry about that Faster - had some things to do yesterday and didn't realize that you were waiting on the results.... :D Here is the summary - I'll edit this and add the specific trades sometime this morning. On ES, the first 6 initial trades were losers, with a couple of those losing on...

You can learn a lot by just looking.... :D

  20. Q

    Something very simplistic

It's similar - what are you using as your indicator? Overall, today hasn't been good so far.
