Stating that intermidiate timeframes are where you will find more success as a tader than shorter timeframe ( intraday ).... I understand where you are coming from Candletrader...this link is floating around here somewhere....maybe it is easier to align yourself with a longer timeframe.....

I think it has alot to do with commissions....they play a role on it not being a true zero-sum game you can be gross positive and net negative......think about it..

I think your company example is incorrect.......the loss is offset by the gain to the Company and/or The Insiders which sold the investors the 1000 shares....... commissions = vig.......so not a true zero-sum game...
