Pull that chart up on a multi year view and you have a good discussion. DOW 11040 will begin the correction.

The 10:35 EST candle on the 1 min had "rally cap" written all over it. I saw that candle unfold, and it extended down very quickly, but was rejected with equal authority. You never argue with a candle like that.

Bears will get a break at Dow 11040. Don't plan on swinging long thru it w/out a sizeable pullback.

Financials are dragging us down

What a difference a day makes. You knew something was up when it didn't pivot at 9:35 EST. The confirmation was the failed breakout at 11:40. Some big funds were taking profits today.

Another vantage point may explain why the bears were crying today.

Blame today on tech. The NQ and COMP were making new highs this am long before SPX and DJI.

Interesting pop off the Japan rate news. Fade the extension.
