    Slippage for stocks

If you sell on the bid and the last print of the day is on the ask, it might just be a bit higher/different than the price you got. On low volume stocks, the spread will sometimes widen in last 10 minutes, depending on the day's activity. Hard to say.

    Russell 2k

Heh, not in today's market. If computers were to go down, then the spread on WR2 would likely double or triple compared to whatever is ''normal''.

Your statement is BS too. Try trading the underlying stocks of ANY index and see if the market doesn't gap.

    Look Ma, no indicators!!

It depends on what ''indicators'' you mean. If you mean time-based indicators like RSI, MACD, MovAvg's, etc, well those indicators are usually useless by themselves. You need a way to better time your entries/control your losses. Price accomplishes this in the most direct way. But that's...

Average True Range at multi-year lows

One big problem that none of you are taking into account with regard to volatility is that there is "good" and "bad" volatility. By this, I mean, throuout the '90's volatility may have been low in many cases BUT the likelyhood that a down day would be followed by another down day was very high...

German Dax.. I dont get it...

Yeah, right. Only problem is, ''further gains'' nowadays only means more chop! Some macro event needs to happen to blow the crap out of the markets one way or another. Interest rate gimmicks, unless it's a 2 point rise/drop just prolong this ugly chop.

    Coyote Ugly

I think a lot of hedge funds need to bleed/die of a million cuts and maybe people will ask for their money back. That might lead to less of this garbage.
