Algorithmic Trading a large folio with small orders

If you have a "0/=" key then that is unlike any keyboard I have seen. :) Most US PC keyboards have a "+/=" key. So I'm guessing TWS is reading the raw keycodes and not the ASCII characters. That might take some experimenting.

Algorithmic Trading a large folio with small orders

It's Ctrl-Alt-= (control alt equals) on my machine. I'm pressing the equals on the main keyboard too, I don't know about the keypad because my keyboard doesn't have one.

    Need Help Buying Printer

Actually, Inkjets tend to get clogged if you don't use them very much so they're not good for low volume either. Laser printer is the only way to go unless you need to print photos. I can't comment on which model though. I have been looking for a color laser MFD for years and not found...

    Occupy Wall Street

Pay very close attention any time you see videos like this. Does the video show what happened before the police started spraying people? (with no edits) All of the ones I have seen conveniently leave that part out. Not that I think police are saints and abuses haven't happened in this...

BANK OF AMERICA looks like disaster is coming

Could be part of the upcoming scandalous financial releases by Wikileaks.

    Germany attacks US economic policy

Note that you could say that about almost every piece of land on Earth. Every country in existence conquered the previous inhabitants at some point in history. Consider the Native Americans themselves probably conquered whoever was living here before them, or at the very least they conquered...

From $44 To $4 In Less A Second: Today's Flash Crash

The circuit breaker did in fact go off if you look at my chart there is a gap there between 12:57 and 13:02. But if you also look at the data you can see the circuit breaker did not go off until after it had already recovered. I still don't see those really low ticks though. Maybe they...

From $44 To $4 In Less A Second: Today's Flash Crash

Is it real though? It did start to tank but stopped at 38.38 on my chart. I don't see any of those real low ticks. Am I looking at something different?

Question on deciding on a domain name

Domain names do not drive traffic at all. 99.9% of your traffic will come from search engines and links from other sites so the actual domain name doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that it's relatively easy to tell someone over the phone what it is and they immediately know how...

    ES Journal Archive (2009 - 2010)

The weird thing is that on the stocks that make up the S&500 there is more up price volume than down even though the price has been going down in ES... Strange

    C Halted...

I thought they started activating it 2 weeks ago.

C had a huge low tick pop by that halted it. It was 13% lower I believe. Can one assume that is where the market is headed? That would mean 900 for ES. Hmmm

    C Halted...

Ya, some sort of weird trade happened that was 50 cents off the price. Tripped the breaker. A lot of money was gained and lost right then unless it was not a real trade.

Does your dragon care about the fact that the low on the 25th (1040.78) was not hit yesterday (1042.17)?

400, really? I hope not. Would that be a major depression? I do agree that around 1995 was the start of overvalue though. I think the market wants to be at 800-900. If you extend out at a "normal" rate of gain from 1995 then we should be at that level by now. Check out the second half...

PUT options liquidated at worst possible prices

Would be interesting to see if an IB paper account could be used to test the liquidation algorithm. Probably not something people typically do but seeing as how the sim account seems to behave identically to a normal account, I imagine the margin calls work the same way too. Might be...
