    "Incorrect" Daily Data

$872 was caused by an out-of-sequence trade reported at 17:51 (i.e. after hours) actually done on Nasdaq which actually is a valid value to affect the high of the day according to the UTP rules. Can't even blame a dark pool for this one! Thankfully I don't trade outside of regular trading...

Different market data providers having different data, who is right?

That's fairly standard, given the last annual can be out of date by up to 15 months. It's known as TTM (trailing 12 months).

Same stock listed under different names?

I get the feeling you're inexperienced at trading highly leveraged and complex instruments. Learn more before you blow up your account. Also understand that trading options can expose you to far more than just your original account balance. Brokerage firms can and will sue you for losses...

Same stock listed under different names?

They're not stocks in the traditional sense of equity. They are trading instruments. If you don't understand debt and hybrid debt/equity instruments then you should not be trading them. They are complex animals aimed at institutional traders, not at you. It doesn't help that Yahoo has a non...

Different market data providers having different data, who is right?

I had a similar issue when I was originally trying to use historical fundamentals. Fundamentals where the reporting currency is different from the trading currency is hard. Do you use an average FX rate for the period? Today's FX Rate? The FX rate at the date of the figure? Earnings are...

    Market data vendor

That is a very vague question. Try harder next time. Which countries? Which exchanges? Real time, delayed, end of day? How many securities do you want to query? Streaming or snapshot? Consolidated or single exchange? Which app you use? Budget? There are quite a number listed here...

This Corporate Action Seems Too Good To Be True

Read the quarterly reports - run out cash, loans are contingent on keeping cash balance, delisting notice from Nasdaq

This Corporate Action Seems Too Good To Be True

This is capital raising of a company barely surviving, obtaining loans requiring minimum cash balances and on the verge of being delisted. I am surprised the market didn't punish them for this. This company will be pink sheet unless they do something quick.

    platform recommendation

Avoid online/cloud-based solutions. If the company goes bust you lose everything (e.g. Quantopian). Privacy of your algos is a concern. You should be able to own all infrastructure and feed it with your own data as required. Some others of interest: Backtrader (Python) Amibroker Realtest...

If you have the budget (about $2K/month) use NxCore and program up a snapshot system.

EDI challenges new CME fees as anti-competitive and illegal

Just seems like a butt rape of $120K per data vendor to me. And also "give us all your clients' details".

If you want to take an inflation perspective, you need to consider that as an entirely separate trade. Traders of stocks in country X mostly don't care about country Y or exchange rate Z. If you want to capture country X returns, hedge. In this thread: X=AU Y=US Z=AUDUSD You can substitute...
