Sorry, but I disagree regarding AMD at these price levels, stock is running a pretty high P/E ratio (higher than I feel they deserve).

I think that oligopoly is actually a very approriate term for this, it has taken a very long time for the unified front of high commissions to break down. Even now things are not ideal, since one would need to spend a great deal of money on commissions in order to qualify for the lower rates...

I agree that there would be a great deal of political risk in contracting with them for "guaranteed" oil at $50/barrel, since there is no middleman involved; this is exactly the reason that futures contracts exist (more specifically the clearing structure).

Oh, I see what you mean hehe. So you meant to short the stock, but accidentally went long. I could see that being frustrating - you either had too much coffee this morning, or not enough. :)

Well, I disagree somewhat with the "nice exit" bit - I should have closed my position much sooner. I found myself starting to do exactly what a trader should never do - nudging mental stops lower. I had a trade idea regarding INTC, was proven wrong, and should have closed the position earlier...

Well, INTC is trading at $19.36 right now, so I'm not sure why that's so funny. ;)

Closed my INTC position earlier today, stock just isn't feeling "right" to me at this point (it seems more likely to break downwards through $19.45 or so than it does to move upwards right now).

I agree with all of your comments on INTC, it is difficult to judge where the stock is going to move over the short-term. Seems to be a good long-term play, also appears to be basing around the current levels...

I'm curious, are there any other significant costs there? I believe that they also charge $250/month for the trading platform?
