Well we have nice opening gap shaping up here but it doesn't seem like opening gaps matter the way they once did....

pre-market as of now... might that giant sucking sound be those single prints getting ready to pull us up to 1570?

I would think that 1557 (Monday's POC) would present something of a hurdle, but if we get past that, with some gas,I'd be looking at the 1570 area as a possible target. Thoughts anyone?

    why 57.50?

1550 is a long way down....especially in light of the accumulated volume between here and there. A drop to that level -- in today's session, that is -- would need a fair amount of gas behind it, don't you think?

Ninja Trader - constant volume bars

I've found it to be quite sufficient. After-the-fact I can spot a few minor variations during a session, but in real-time, none. The fact that IB's snapshot data doesn't lag during busy periods is a plus, obviously

Ok, here's my first stupid question of the day. FDAX seems, if anything, to be basing here, with a slight upward bias. Am I missing something?

Yes, thanks so much for the answers. Had to zip off to the dentist to have a couple of wisdom teeth pried from my upper jaw. Then, as if to to add insult to injury, what do I come back to but the short of the week? Some comfort in seeing that I closed my long at 1586.25. Still, my four...

Gotcha, thanks. I take it you mean 1581 is the intraday value area low? I have 1582.50 and 1580, respectively, for those levels, but we're pretty close. May I ask, do you use TPOs or volume for these levels? EDIT: Actually, another question, if I may....wouldn't you want to see how...

How did you come to pick 81.50 as your target? Seems like a bit of support to plow through to get there, at least today...

This is looking heavier and heavier...but what does "heavier" mean? Perhaps this just isn't my day

It's a fine opinion. I'll counter your opinion with a theory. If it can't go up, it will go down. All morning, it's "tried" to go up. Day's not over yet, but I'd say if we don't see some upside gas soon...

we're balancing here, obviously. what gets me, though, is that the energy, such as it is, seems to be with the upside probes, whille any number of market breadth measurements seem to suggest more downside potential. oy...
