I have been told that you should not buy or sell an option at the opening because the prices are not accurate. You should wait for about 20 minutes after the open to get in/out of a trade. Does anyone know if this is true?

I used IVolatility calculator just now and got -0.0567 for theta. I checked a Black-Scholes online calculator http://www.soarcorp.com/black_scholes_calculator.jsp and got a -20. I think the ones that differ are the using Black-Scholes. If this is the case, what algorithm are the others using?

I only trade options as a surrogate for stocks to get the leverage and to be able to short the market with puts. I only try to get in the bid/ask spread occasionally if I don't like the spread.

I have used eOptions for about a year. They are no frills, low cost. So far I have only used them for buying puts and calls, no spreads yet. Their support is just ok, but for $3.00 trades + $0.15/contract I can live with that. Dana

Well, what do you know. Live here for 20 years and still learn something new. I like Solly's, but I prefer Springcreek BBQ on Central and Beltline. I will have to try out SonnyBryant's. I am heading the Randy White's BBQ now just down the road from me in Frisco. Pretty good BBQ too. Cafeole

woodiescciclub is by far the best, imo. I have been in other rooms that do eminis as well as stocks, and woodie blows them away. His club concentrates on eminis, especially ES. cafeole
