    Citadel, KCG and Robinhood

Interesting article. The Ustocktrade one has me thinking how that's even legal. Read the disclaimer about how the super user is their parent company and from what I read says they don't have to take the trades as they see fit. So reading that image I posted from their site, it could fool you...

TD Ameritrade and Think or Swim Option Market Maker Scam

I'm confused. Are you saying their bid/ask prices are different then another broker or data you have? The bid/ask was $4/5$. You wanted to buy so the only offer(ask) is 5.00. That's what your going to get for a trade. Where's the 4.75$ come from?

Breadth analysis of indexes to rade ETFs

Good post. Something I've been looking at learning and trying to utilize. Listened to a podcast on Better Systems Trader with Greg Morris. Was a good listen on the topic. Got me to thinking about how the major indexes are built and weightings. If I remember correctly he mentioned he had...

    Historical Intraday data 5-10min intervals

I haven't looked into Qcollector much but it does look like a great tool to manage my IQFeed data. I use Amibroker use their plugin to manage my data but Qcollector does offer a great tool to take the data and be able to manage it and use with other software or using with other environments like...

    Fibonacci Levels are Random

Feel bad when people take his posts out of context it seems. I've read his book, which I enjoyed. Caught him on a couple podcast and webinars, etc. On chat with traders he talked about how he was a big user of fibonacci numbers and when he began quantifying his ideas later in his career he...

Interview with Andrea Unger, World Cup Trading Champion

Listened to Michael Cook on better system trader podcast. He's won twice I believe. He does mention that his approach there is different then his regular trading. To win you have to kind of go big or go home type of thing. Wonder if any of them actually trade the winning systems live as is or...

Took out a loan to transition to full-time trading. 24 years old.

So what was the plan for this trade? In the above big winner in VRX you mentioned your risk was a 1% loss and you we're out? Why was this one different? If you still liked the setup, your trading plan could account for multiple entries? Perhaps a 1% loss on the initial entry would be alright and...

    Historical fundamental data

I'd look at quandl.com. I haven't used much. Theirs some free stuff but then a lot of the good info is a premium service from someone. Worth a shot probably.

List of symbols and primary exchange

http://www.iqfeed.net/symbolguide/?symbolguide=lookup&displayac Doesn't have ARCA or Amex listed or could be some weird abbreviation. Finviz.com, allows that filtering but Export required membership. http://www.nasdaq.com/screening/company-list.aspx

Took out a loan to transition to full-time trading. 24 years old.

So here's an example with a 5 minute chart of how I'd make an entry if I day traded using a pattern I use on daily charts. The first thing I'd see is the up bar at 12:15. This bar sticks out from the crowd, theirs no equivalent bar to be seen on the chart and managed to take the price from the...

Took out a loan to transition to full-time trading. 24 years old.

First off I don't day trade, swing trade off daily/weekly charts myself. Also only been trading for a little under a year myself so take it with a grain of salt and learn what works for you. The way I make my stops on my discretionary trading(which has setups and rules) is that I identify the...

So what was the risk on VRX? You mention you went all in on VRX and looking at the move for the day it looks like you mean you actually put all your account in one trade for a 10k gain on a total move from low to high of day of 11.5% ( low = 28.92 and high of 32.72) I'm looking at the numbers...

    Cheap streaming Futures data?

http://www.iqfeed.net/index.cfm?displayaction=data&section=feewaiver IQfeed futures exchange fees can be lowered if you meet the criteria. From what I have read you need to have a supported platform that allows you to trade from it and have a funded futures traded account to get the fee...

[Beginner] Is there free data feed?

I think it's a great deal. I use it with Amibroker but you can also run it with almost anything. If it's not a supported software then API subscription is required. I look at it this way. I can go in to work for a couple of hours on Saturday to cover the data fees and save the data headaches...

Where can I find OBV data?

K-Pia pointed out the formula for the indicator. You probably wouldn't find any site that provides this as it'd be the same as getting data for RSI values or Stochastics. It's just a value created from Close values and volume. The idea behind it measuring the pressure of buyers vs sellers...

Looking for good futures day trading broker (considering Cannon)

https://optimusfutures.com/ If I had the capital to endure the leverage on swing trades on the daily charts I'd look at these guys. Heard a podcast from Matt on chatwithtraders and sounds like they have a lot of options to make things work for your needs. But the world of futures seems to...

Question about max drawdown in Amibroker

I believe the norm for this is to delete the empty bars, and have some sort of reference symbol with complete data for the time period and use the pad and align options in amibroker. Depending on where this data originates from you could assign the blank values in Excel first then import.

Trading On The Open and Accurate Open/High/Low

http://www.nasdaqtrader.com/content/productsservices/trading/crosses/openclose_faqs.pdf This may help define whats going on. But also looking at USAP, it had a 90 day MA Volume of 30 000ish and a daily volume of 50 000ish. When liquidity isn't there anything is possible. The exchanges report...

IB US stock buying currency requirements

I would just be aware of any conversion fees. I think IB has pretty low spreads on forex compared to other options but going in and out of USD/CAD can add up when buying back and forth. On the other side you also have currency exposure when in the trade if just letting IB to the conversion or...

SPX Index - different candles on Interactive Brokers

The weird part is that post number 6 says he's using IB Feed in a 3rd party software and has a completely different chart. Those highlighted by OP do not exist in post 6's chart. I use IQFeed and Amibroker and have what I would consider identical to number 6.
