    An interesting Travel Proposal

Yesterday I went to a promotional breakfast in our hotel in Puerto Vallarta. Normally I give these things a wide berth but on this occasion my Wife and I decided to attend. Basically the deal is this ........ We give Company (group) Z, $35,000K In return they give us access to more than...

Does this law threaten the existence of every fund in the USA?

Cant agree with you at all. PTF is right in his remarks, otherwise we would all be apologising to the dead each morning for making it through the night. Funds should stay within the law or their leaders go to jail and contributors shouldn't be so bloody silly when giving their money to...

Why Deflation Will Be Long Term

That is a whole lot of deflation, so why don't we call this the great great recession and then the deflationists and the inflationists are all happy regards f9

Why Deflation Will Be Long Term

not going to happen in my opinion anymore than people are guaranteed to start buying again once printed money hits the streets. In theory they should (greed) but they may pay down debt (fear) Actually greed =fear, but fear fear is stronger. '09 is going to be interesting if nothing else...

Why Deflation Will Be Long Term

And so anyone who sold aussie and bought yen a while back should have been reading the tea leaves in water food electricity etc instead. Funny, here I was thinking that it is all about timing. Viva ET ... greatest show on earth. It is the broad sweeping statements, usually narrow based...

Video: Fischer 'Worst of Real Recession Yet to Come': Could Be 'Depression-Like'

I imagine that the FED needs to keep rates at or near zero to help nurture the grounds for growth and increase rates to stave off inflation. Both theses actions of holding rates at zero and lifting rates need to take place simultaneously. This statement alone tells you the scope of the...

IN THIS THREAD: IronFist learns (the elusive) PRICE ACTION

I agree I am just filling in time waiting for a flight but IF you need to start taking yourself seriously because nobody else will do it for you. Stop posting silly charts inviting silly comments and begin by thinking through this puzzle very carefully. That is what trading is about ...

No one on EliteTrader will beat the market… here is why

Quite correct. We only know what the exchange shows us. To extrapolate that by virtue of assumption is immature at best or just plain silliness. If our OP ever leaps into the market with real money, these silly threads will cease immediately to be replaced by an air of reality. Then and...

A lot of people on EliteTrader will beat the market… here is why

N You comment on competition in the IT, but tell me a market where two highly competitive guys go long and short on the same tic. Normal business competition is always streaming in one direction. regards f9

No one on EliteTrader will beat the market… here is why

You have obviously put a great deal of thought into this one. Just as a passing thought. "Elite" means superior, the best of the best. And 'Trader" means, well trader means to Trade. Nowhere in the website heading do I read "Whiner or Loser" So, why is this site populated...

No one on EliteTrader will beat the market… here is why

But who honestly cares whether markets are efficient, random, closed loop or any other buzz word. Who really cares ....... I imagine those who care, are the people who do not understand how to trade consistently profitably. There must be a reason other than themselves. regards f9

No one on EliteTrader will beat the market… here is why

None .... It is a typical ET blocked mind, broad sweeping statement. It is designed to pick up a few crumbs of information which the closed mind of the OP hopes will assist him him/her in their pointless quest. Or it is an expression of sheer frustration to attract other frustrated souls...

No one on EliteTrader will beat the market… here is why

Nobody ever said it is easy to execute. The logic is more or less straight forward, but the execution will wind up the average punter until they settle into it. Learning to fade an entry/exit is difficult to come to grips with initially. regards f9

So you are telling us that you have yet to learn to trade on limit stops. At least you are honest. regards f9

No one on EliteTrader will beat the market… here is why

No, not at all. Your limit stop is positioned ahead of where the price might go. If the lead-up is not to your taste, just pull the stop and start again. regards f9

Neutrino will never continually beat the market, and here is why

Trawl back through my posts concerning orderflow and structure. But bear in mind if you do not understand what I have written, it is because you do not understand. regards f9
