No problem with TS6 (Tradestation), all Mini-Contracts (CBOT) without exchange fee (ACE / 30$). Big problem with IB: They want me to pay exchange fee (ACE / 30$).

We should do some promotion for YM ! If there is no volume, then you can´t trade. With TS6 I get the Mini-Dow quotes for free (no exchange fee), but IB says "must subscribe to ACE quotes and pay 30 bucks".

I never would use CQG for order entry. CQG network is used for a) data transmission b) order transmission c) downloading updates ( ~ 40 MB) Who will be responsible if your order gets stuck ?

Are you sure ? If they show a delayed price that is below market price then what ? Wouldn´t be a good deal for IB in this case.

Yes, I think this is the main reason. With J-Trader or IB TWS I cannot enter any non-electronic order at the moment. I would have to open a new account with another broker. There are very few pit-traded commodities that I might want to trade: energy (crude oil, natural gas), what else ...

The Alaron thing looks to me like Rolfe & Nolan (RAN) order entry. For RAN there IS a VERY GOOD manual available. Give your broker a KICK IN THE ASS !
