    Crash of 2005

I am bearish as well, but instead of wasting time and mental resources on predictions, I am listening to the market. IMO, the Dow Jones, the Nasdaq Cmposite and the Nasdaq 100 have reached very important areas. How they cope with them during the next days and weeks may set the trend for the...

    Designing your subconscious state

During the past couple of weeks, I've systematically experimented with something I've found out a few years ago by accident. Back then, I was listening to a very calm trance track on my bed. I set the cd-player to repeat that single song endlessly. Then I fell asleep, and about 10 hours later...

Becoming a CTA, CPO, or manage futures

Hi man! I've been at a similar stage about 6 months ago. I then started as a broker at a few different companies, gained incredibly valuable insights at a boiler room and day trading brokerage, then I changed to a well established brokerage. I'm now marketing and trading my own...

    sept 11 anniversary

http://www.interactivepublishing.net/september/ I lost a few loved ones during the 90's, in another war. It's always hard in such a situation, since you somehow have the feeling that 'outsiders' don't understand your traumatic experience, and those who can relate to it due to personal...

    Bear Market Ahead

Keep that in the back of your head. Your time will come. But 'till then, trade what you see, not what you wish. And always trade with a stop loss you've determined before your entry price - the best losers in the short run are the long term winners. Cheers!

Short-term interest rates are rising steadily, we are approaching an inverted yield curve: http://stockcharts.com/charts/YieldCurve.html Watch what happened in January 2000, and then wait for the day the media whores are going to announce that short term rates are higher than long term...

    90% traders don't make it???

Technical analysis was born as a means of communication the day the markets became too large for single traders to move them (e.g. by cornering them). It is a way of creating order out of chaos, momentum out of noise just like the drummers did on ancient war ships or horn blowers did within...

    90% traders don't make it???

Excellent point. Then add the adrenaline component such as flashy colorful computer windows, bragging among your peers, the general perception of finance... What you describe as art can IMO be quantified through game theory; identifiying the pros and cons of a setup from a probability-theory...

    90% traders don't make it???

The CEO's explanation was that they usually cut their winners short and therefore can't compensate their losses. IMO, this analysis is correct, but it's rather the symptom than the cause. Why should they behave different, it'd be counterintuitive! It literally took me literally years to fully...

    90% traders don't make it???

It usually takes a client 2-3 months to lose all his money - the market phase plays no role in this process.

    90% traders don't make it???

I've been working as a broker, now as a salestrader/prop. 90-95% of the customers are losing in futures trading, 70-80% in stock trading. And the commissions at the company were/are excellent from a customer's point of view.

Why do you prefer trading over real estate?

I'm not much into market traded funds, but I think it should somehow be possible to hedge by shorting REITs or a related index.

What do you think about this deal?

I'm in contact with a brokerage, and the CEO told me about a new product they're about to launch. I'm now interested in your opinions about it - pros & cons etc. Product specs.: - 100.000US $ invested for 10 years, annual yield of 3.5% guaranteed through a european tier one bank - 30.000...

Why do people believe in this?

IMO, it actually is one of my personal holy grails. It takes some time to learn it, but once you've understood the strategies of the market participants in their respective timeframes and once you've learnt to observe them all simultaneously, and once you've understood the major importance of...
